Why are Ward and Dirrell rated so high?

If Dirrel Froch was a robbery and Kessler Froch was a robbery then Froch would still have an L on his record and Dirrell would be WBC champ :hey

Let's start w/ Direll. He totally ouboxed an undefeated froch and deserved at least a draw. He was basically a victim of the home town decision. Next direll outboxed and beat an undefeated abraham. This warrents his ranking. Ward has dominated all his oppents especially the best ones. He is well rounded and should be the favorite to win the entire torenment. he is also the only undefeated fighter left on the super 6.

Just curious, what evidence is there that Ward used or uses steroids? I just see this accusation leveled at almost every fighter that wins alot and is not a favorite.

Think you're right on this one! That's the reason why Ward only fights at home!

They have a very vocal fanbase, who often overrate the same type of fighters all the time. The same type who still think Zab Judah and James Toney are relevant and think Devon Alexander is the next big thing.

Both Ward and Dirrell are ok. I don't think either have a great chin and will probably get found out when they have to go to war. Good physical attributes, good skills but they lack the intangibles. Dirrell, in particular, doesn't have the balls or the heart to fulfill his potential.

Sadly, there are lingering doubts over Ward.

I don't think you will find anyone that is subjective not tell you that Calzaghe was a great fighter. mediocre resume at best but a great talen never the less. Froch is limited, he has been winning but the talent that both Ward and Dirrell posess is far greater than Froch. If Froch keeps on winning he will get his due, acomplishments in the ring talk, while they are sorting this out flash and skill rise to the top. Whats it matter anyway? If he keeps winning he will be recognized as the man.

Which Dirrell fight are we talking? After the Froch fight I was ready to write him off as nothing special but he showed balls against Abraham. If he is willing to fight and not just run there is no one at 168 that can hang with his skills. I suppose questions about his heart are still up in the air as he has only shown a willingness to fight once but you have to have similar questions about Froch, how long can he get by on guts and chin?

If Froch was to beat AA convincly would that strenghen dirrells resume for giving him such a close fight or weaken it because ppl disregard Froch thus making AA an overhyped win?
