By the end of the tournement the winner will be seen as the numero uni.

The Ring and ESB also have Bute at number 1.

Bute isn't no 1. Any poud 4 pound ranking is speculation or that ridiculous system boxrec uses. Its just opinion and mine is that Andre Ward is the best because his win over Kessler in his last fight trumps anything Bute has achieved. Plus he also looks a little more talented than Bute although it is a bit early to say that with great certainty.
Bute has fought okish opposition such as Bika, Andrade x2, Miranda,Berrio and errm...........Joppy.
Poor when compared to what the super 6 are up against.

It's Showtime fault for not inviting the Nr2 ranked super middleweight and a champion at the time. It's is simple logic that if you don't invite the Nr2 SMW when Nr1 will lose he'll be in the first position(DOH).:patsch
I hear you all the time: Such a gutsy move by those who enter the super6.
The money are good ...that's why they all accepted they got 3 fights from where even if they lose them all they can get good money out of it.It's like saying do you want 3Xbig money fight and if you lose one and draw one you can have your fourth big money fight + 1 or 2 out of the fights are title fights.
Bute doesn't have options so stop talking ****.He had Miranda and Stieglitz at SMW (you find a better opponent at SMW) He fought Miranda and now he is trying to make a fight with Stieglitz. He even said he would fight Hopkins(at 170 i think). Dawson has a match with Pascal and Pascal has a rematch clause...so he can't fight him.He is willing to go in the USA like he said more than once in the interviews.
"he 168-pound division is full of great fighters and I want to fight the best. I’d go to the U.S. anytime to fight a guy like (Kelly) Pavlik or (Jermain) Taylor. I’m ready to fight anyone!” Bute proclaimed." This was back then when Taylor didn't fought Froch yet. He keep fighting in Canada because it make's financier sense(remeber Golden Boy Promotions won the purse and still the fight happend in Canada)

Bute destroyed miranda. Miranda gave problems to the top guys in the the super 6. Ward never really landed with power and abraham was disfigured when fighting miranda

Ward won a lopsided decision and Abraham knocked Miranda out in the rematch. Miranda is a gatekeeper, nothing more.

The question is answered by The Ring, Boxrec, and ESB

True that.....but to be fair to Bute, the manner in which he stopped his last two opponents; renowned for their toughness if nothing else, was impressive. Bute still needs to prove himself against a higher level of opposition though before he can be considered for the no1 spot.
