What's the purpose of Floyd asking a rematch clause with Mosley?

    Out of those options, I'd say it's partly the 'pride', due to not being as confident this time, especially compared to his last few opponents, but mostly it's because of the 'rematch money'.

    Supposedly, Mayweather didn't even know about the rematch clause. It's something his team negotiated. It probably won't end up mattering anyway.

    I messed up and voted because he wants Mosley to beat him twice, but really it is because he can get a rematch and avenge the loss if he does lose...

    It is also very common in boxing, especially with big fights, It is almost always a standard in a contract.

    Bad post.

    First of all, this is common practice in boxing. Secondly, Floyd obviously recognizes that Mosley is an extremely dangerous opponent and Floyd has a hell of a lot more heart than he gets credit for. If he loses, expect him to exercise the rematch clause.
