He was at the Pac/Clottey fight supporting David Diaz.
He looked like he was getting into fight shape, I told some peep's on here, But was dismissed.

That said, Let's see what happens.

I wouldn't. The guy would only embarrass himself, he's done. He's not going to beat anyone in the top 10 in any division he competes at. So why come back?

Vargas shouldn't touch anyone buy club-guys like Camacho Jr. Maybe a Trinidad fight since Tito will never be the monster he was either.

I think it serves 2 reasons he left on a loss and it would help his promotional company VEP

Maybe he just doesn't want to be a fatass anymore. I'm losing weight, doesn't mean I'm about to start boxing.

I wonder if he could actually beat Camacho Jr. at this point...He's shot as hell. He had nothing for Mayorga in their fight but the vague shadows of his former skills that kept him in it, given Mayorga's lack of coherent defense. He fought like a true warrior, but whenever Mayorga attacked, it was easy for him.

Stay retired, Nando. You've been in a fight or two nobody will ever forget, and thus you will never be forgotten.

That pic doesn't reveal whether or not Vargas' belly hangs over his waistline. I'm still skeptical of his level of fitness.

If there was any sign that he always took care of himself then ok, but even that doesn't guarantee success. He's not fast enough or defensively sound to be a good boxer, not strong enough to be a ko artist. Today, he might be a good gatekeeper, but he would have to lay the tamales and booze down to get into serious contention. Mentally and physically he would have to restructure himself or get embarrassed and become a name in a young fighter's resume like an Angulo, Vanes, or Foreman.

He is coming back to help promote his company and not for a belt... he looks stronger than ever actually but being realistic he probably needs about 2 fights before even thinking about fighting a name.
