I'm sure Kirkland can work the weight off. I can't wait for him to start fighting again, he was exciting. I still wanna see Kirkland vs. Angulo.
They are tailor made for each other, neither has much movement and walks the other down, both have hit the deck in their careers more than once, so it shouldn't last long. This is if you don't throw him right in there against Pav now, give Kirkland 3-5 fights and it should be a quick and exciting fight.
Two guys who will stand right in front of eachother throwing punches... Ill go with the bigger guy with bigger power and a better chin... sorry, im a kirkland fan and would love for him to win this matchup, but he wouldnt. His tenacity, ferocity and heat he puts on opponents are ideal for guys his size, and he needs to stay at 154 where hes a beast, at 160 or above, those same attributes, imo, will become his weaknesses and he will only be playing right into pavliks hands. I dont think Kirkland would see the distance... Just IMO, but id love for kirkland to prove me wrong if they fought, but id rather him just stay at 154 and get fights with Angulo, Cintron, and Williams.
If this was to happen now - Pavlik - 6 months after release, and Pavlik not fighting since - Kirkland KO

i say KP by decision at the moment, kirkland comes forward and has sub-par defense. it would be a helluva fight but i think KP would get the nod. KP's jab would be the telling point of this fight

Pavlik by KO. Kirkland is aggressive and comes right at you, and that'll play right into Kelly's hands.
This poll is a joke. Pavlik would eat Kirkland and ask for seconds. The kid has potential, but he's nowhere near ready for a fight like this.
Probably never will me in my opinion based on styles. Kirkland's style will work against fighters he's physically stronger than and can take their punch. Against Pavlik, he is the weaker fighter, and would most likely be hurt.
