I have seen him listed 5'10.5". Even I don't think he is shorter than this.
I do remember : it is on youtube , and if not then on my computer .
I told you what source it is.
If you are so anxious to know , search it on youtube.

    I disagree.
    Yes.

    Toney being a midget.
Frightening to see how shorter he was than Holyfield.
Tyson whom was 5'10.5" at best was much closer to Holyfield than him. Very much.
Even in a certain ESB essay , Toney was claimed to be 5'9.5".
I believe it is a derounding up of his height still.

No . McClellan was 5'10.5" at best. if he was 5'11" I will be surprised.
    No way he was 6".

****ing liar take#3 : it was 76" according to you all , and 74" according to me. I bet some posters here can confirm this claim , particularly TGA. I believe he remembers this argument and remembers who claimed what. I wonder if he is going to admit he was (again) in the wrong side.

The ref is most of the times taller than the fighters (except Lane and Cortez) , or very close to the fighters height even in some of Lewis' fights.

Sometimes the shorter on paper fighter is taller during fight time
than the taller on paper one.

They look to close in height to their wives , daughters and sisters :
Hulk Hogan , Gary Goodridge , and yes some boxers as well , not Froch obviously.

    Michalczewski was 6'1" right ?
So how can he be clearly visibly shorter than the 6'0.5" (on paper) Virgil Hill ? how can he be that shorter than the 6'1" (on paper) Tiozzo ?
    :huh:nut:yep:hey:hi::think

Something like that , yes. They will make you 5'8" with some mighty 71.5" of reach.
After you retire they will update it to 5'7.5" with 71" of reach.

And I never claimed boxrec is conspiring anything. But they use turdy resources , and they don't care.

    ****ing Liar #4 : I won't believe tyson is anywhere below 5'9.5"
And I actually think he is 5'10.5".
But ****ing Liar knows what I will insist on.

Yeah, you have surpried me here; you think that Tyson is slighly taller than they list him on Boxrec.

So Boxrec doesn't always pretned that fighters are taller than they actually are?

Boxers' listed heights are a strange area.

Hagler is listed at 5' 9.5, Alan Minter at 5'9 ...... anyone who's seen that fight knows Minter was at least 2 or 3 inches taller than Hagler.

Bob Satterfield at 6'2 I'm not convinced of either.

I think the whole tale-of-the-tape thing shouldn't be taken too seriously. A lot of oddities and unbelievable recordings there.

I can easily believe he is 5'10".
Standing next to Lewis and Holyfield , Tyson was nowhere as midget as Toney or even Tua were. But for a heavy he is a midget.
In some rare super popular cases , boxrec might be very close to truth.
After all people see Tyson at nightclubs etc.

I did; the shortest he is liste on YouTube is 6'0. So i guess the source fo this is officially "your computer".

Here is Toney with Holyfield. Toney is listed as 5'10, Holyfield is listed as 6'2 and a half. That's a difference of 4 and one half inches. This idea you have that taking an inch away from Toney's height helps to square up this picture is just bizarre :nut

So, McLellan, Hopkins and Tyson are all 5'10 ish. Toney is 5'9 by virtue of the fact that he is "a midget". Tarver is less hyped than these guys (except Tyson) so his height is about right - Holyfield is also close to his actually height by virtue of his being taller than Tyson (who is right becuase people "see him in nightclubs"). Roy Jones and Joe Calzaghe, aroun the same height as Toney, are also smaller than the average man, making Tarver, whose height is about right, 5-6 inches taller than Jones...

    ****. Me.

I'll confirm it; you are right. YOU were saying tht it was 74" and every single other person on the board, every single contemporary source, and boxrec, listed it as 76". You've done well here to point out the exact circumstances of your being completely wrong according to every sane scale.

So HW boxers are generally shorter than the average man? Any explanation as to why this might be?

    Yes, this does happen.

    Yes. This does happen.

Yes, you have. You are on the record saying that Boxrec inflate the hieghts of fighters to "hype" them. But not Tyson, who has been seen in nightclubs  Or Tarver, for reasons unknown.

One of the Dennis Milton or Gilbert Baptist fights. Maybe I was Wrong and it actually was the Glen Johnson fight.

You want to post a pic from the actual fight ?
I don't care what is Toney standing on in that picture.
    I saw the fight.

Maybe I am an inch wrong here and Hopkins is as huge as 5'11.5".
    No more.
Tarver is nowhere above 6'1" , probably less.
Jones is slightly shorter than the average man , yes.
And it just reminds me Tito was listed 5'11" and DLH 5'10.5"
boxrec must be right here , true ?
And Hearn's reach is 2" shorter than Louis Monaco.
And boxrec by the way , is my source that Ronald Hearns has really short arms for his height.
And McCallum has the same reach as Hearns.
    All according to boxrec.
You just keep asking for it coming.

boxrec is my source for louis having 74" reach and it is more of your problem that they changed it .

Admit it , do you have vocabulary problems ? you have a disturbed focusing ? what is it ?

 Maybe you were wrong. Maybe! But the shortest reference I could find for Bernard on YouTube is 6'0.

Every single source available aside from the secret one on your computer has Bernard taller than you do. Every. Single. One.

    Sure!

But what difference does it make? You are not going to find a single source that proves your take on the fighters respective heights because none exists.

Every single source I have seen disagrees wih you.

Every single source I've seen disagrees with you.

Really try to take this in this time, because i've said it to you three times now: nobody is saying that Boxrec is perfect. EVERY SINGLE POSTER ON THIS FORUM UNDERSTANDS THAT THERE ARE MISTAKES ON IT. Got it?

What this is about is your bizarre obsession with deducting an inch to three inches from each fighter's height and the same from a fighter's reach arbitrarily because of "constant lying" born of "hype".

What?! But you just said you can't trust Boxrec and it's all wrong!!

I just thought it was an amusing picture given your latest bizarre claim

There have always been Super Heavyweights but none with the Strong amateur background of Lennox Lewis or Klitschko. There are a few small freaks like Marciano,Tyson,Langford,Choynski,Tom Sharkey but for the most part the best sized heavyweight has always been around 6"1-6'2 210-220, Joe Louis was the perfect Heavyweight, perfect size and we have seen him in an exhibition weighing 230lbs and still fit but he chose to come in at a lower weight. The 15 rd limit made fighters come in better condition. I think fit fighters like Louis, Ali, Marciano and even Dempsey would be a nightmare fitness wise for fighter like Page, Tubbs, WItherspoon, Briggs, Bowe and I am sure there size would not be enough. Lets face it I have seen a lot of heavyweight fights during the 80's and 90's that would GAG even the most hard core fight fan because they were lean fests. A lot of the fatness was replaced by steroids and that had it share of problems....In a nutshell Joe Louis chops up guys like those mentioned above...the sluggards of the heavyweight division.

Evander was a fit man for the most part but even though he had power he was not a great natural puncher, Haye appeared to be,Adamak can hit but he was not a Killer puncher at 175 but his skill level is better than most of the big men

You know very well the height difference between them is huge.
Holyfield is bending his knees , crouching and bending here and is still taller . I am not using my computer right now , it will take me a few days to come back with a picture from the beginning of the fight that I guess you won't post as it will just prove who is the idiot here and who looks to argue knowing he is in the wrong. But I will comeback with it in a few days .

    So keep seeing them .
Actually , regarding the reach , the stats are so distorted and inflated I even don't try to calculate the real stat according to it.
    I disbelieve it altogether.

I can believe he had 74" . 76" is realistic too , but I remember it was 74" , and reading the above , I will always remember the minimal stat.
    A minimum accumulator.

Which picture ? the one you posted ?
