Good analysis, I also thought Shane's chance is best when making it physical. He must use his size to muscle floyd around, which I believe he is wholly capable of doing. He must frustrate him physically and mentally, throw off his timing with irregular rhythm and combinations and feint properly while dissecting his defense with the jab.

Rooting for Shane (gotta rep socal) but floyd might still be a little too slick for this one.

Agreed. Every single weakness Mosley has now, was covered up in the Margarito fight, which is the ONLY reason people are undecided. It's all about the Margarito fight which is truly deceptive because of how many questions remain about Margarito.

In fights before that, he looked like his legs were gone, he was lacking speed, accuracy and ferociousness, three defining characteristics for Mosley, and just generally old. He fights a guy who is perfect stylistically, whose every win could have an '*' next to it, and suddenly he is a threat and P4P talent?

    No.

    Mayweather wide UD.

He had bounce in his legs and solid movement the entire margarito fight.

His legs will be fine, you guys are being ridiculous.

Great anayalis , I agree with you totally here, I cant stress enough your 3rd point , that Floyd has underrated strength. I know he's not a puncher but I think when he rotates and steos into those punches (Which he barely does, did once against Marquez and down he went), I think his power is very underrated.

People say floyd's power is underrated in every single fight.

Then he goes out and doesn't hurt the other guy.

Stop saying that ****. It took him 10 rounds of left hooks to drop hatton and he still got up from it.

The dude doesn't have KO power.

Underrated and deceptive as well. Fighters would note that his punches would end up hurting you more than you thought they did.

His punches looked sharper than ever too.

I think everyone I've seen picking Mosley, is putting too much stock in the Margarito fight. Care to make an argument for Mosley, using the Cotto, Collazo and Mayorga bouts, mate?

Not to mention it too Pac 2 rds and with 3 knockdowns. Mayweather does not have power @ 47. Last tyme he had decent power was @ 30-35. So now I guess Mayweather power is suppose to just all of a sudden fall from the sky into his lap? If anything falls it will be a V-12 engine for his legs. He will do more running than any of his last fights.

he doesn't have one punch ko power... but i think what most people mean when they say his power is underrated is that some people say floyd can't "hurt" or "buzz" any fighters when he's in the ring with them... they look at floyd and because of his frame just assume that he's not gonna be strong... and during each post fight interview, the fighters who lost to floyd always say that floyd was stronger than they thought...

i for one just believe that IF floyd was to increase his volume of punches, he would get more ko's/tko's just based on accurate, effective punches that would accumilate to a stoppage...

Against lil people like Marquez and Hatton sure, but against a real WW I don't think so. Cotto and Pac threw the kitchen sink at Clottey and that guy stood on his feet all nite and still was throwing power shots in the latter rds. And u trying to tell me Mayweather has more power or punch output than those 2 guys? :patsch

Good point about Nazim he will be helpful but he can't fight for Mosley. You can't teach an old dog new tricks and when the going gets tough I still think Shane will revert back to his old habits like most fighters do.
I also never doubt PBF's hunger the guy is in the position that he's in by staying hungry, he always comes into a fight 100% in shape and never underestimates his opponents.

i'm not sure if you are reading what is being posted... but i never said anything about mayweather being stronger than cotto or pac... i said that mayweather has underrated power and to answer back to one poster about why i thought that...

floyd is not given enough credit for his strength and power... do i think he's the strongest WW??... of course not, but he can hold his own ground if he chose to and his power surprises a lot of people during the fights...

Floyd can get into his bicycle or he can cover up in the corner, but I expect Shane to have answers to both scenarios.

So if his power is so underrated, how come we have not seen it at all against the 4+ yrs he's been at WW? Plz answer that one for me.

mosley is going to try to hustle floyd. if he comes out trying to box with floyd he's going to be on the sour end of a leonard-hagler type fight. he tried to box collazo, an underrated, taller, heavier welterweight and was taking clean shots to the chin. if he can pull off a smooth, smothering offense to the body and head i can see him muscling floyd into the ropes and keepig him there. hopefully shane has had some work on cutting a ring off because if he tries to fight on the inside with floyd in the middle of the ring i can see him getting off balance and slapped down.
