I was watching some Edwin Valero fights, not a lot, and noticed that his movement is pretty straight forward. It's kinda weird that he was able to have the success he did, probably because of his chin and power.

Who are some other fighters that had world championship success with the least amount of bounce in their step and didn't stay on their toes? Most of the time when a fighter becomes flat-footed he's past his prime.

When he engages yeah, you need to, but he moved on his toes when doing otherwise.

I wouldn't say he was completely flat-footed, but a lot of the time he had his feet planted ready to throw.

    Another good one.

    Nigel Benn
    Iron Mike

Most big punchers are flat footed so just think of big hitters.

Tito was flat-footed. James Toney usually was at his best flat-footed, more or less stationary, using his body movements to avoid shots and then countering.

boxers dont fight flat footer, they are not taught that and just because a fighter is not jumping or running around doesnt mean they're flat footed..90% of the time boxers are on their toes and when they're not they're going to get KOed... you cant take a punch flat footed.. when you throw you need to push of your toes and lift your heal of the ground also when you move around you move around on your toes..
