he did it all for the $$$$, no mention of legacy. im sure some posters on here would have a problem with that but the man makes a very valid point about what he had to give up and so he had damn well have something worth while to look foward to when it's all over. Great interview.

I really like Eubank, he is very honest, not something you see too much in fighters these days.

We all know Eubank underachieved but he has always been honest about the fact he was in the game for money and not legacy. Dont know if he would have beaten Toney, RJJ, Mccallum etc but I am confident none of them would dominate him in his prime. All those fights would be competitive.

Both Eubank and Jones mutually made statements about being reluctant to fight each other... They both knew the risk and realized it was possible that neither would be the same afterwords. In terms of career it was very smart, I wish we could have seen it though, I think Jones would have won 8-4 or so, but would of had to fight every second of every round, and would have taken some good shots. It would have been a classic fight around 94, when Jones fought Toney.

Eubank also is targeting IBF super-middleweight champion Roy Jones, regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. He said: ``I'm my own promoter now and I manage myself, so there are none of the political barriers for such a fight. I want it and Jones' people are also keen.''
