Oscar is everyone's claim to fame. The World Awaits outsold The Dream Match by a great margin of moar than 1 million. This 1 million shows how much drawing power he has. Why couldn't the "most exciting" fighter sell nearly as much against him?:think

Oscar was a cash draw against draws.

Look at his list of PPVs, he never had a great PPV unless it was against a name fighter.

Look at his first 3 PPVs, they were lower than Floyds first 3.

    300k+ PPVs are solid/good.

We've just been accustomed to very high PPVs as with Pac and Floyds most recent success.

You almost sound like Floyd when talking about that fight and acting as if he was solely responsible for those numbers.

    It's not a debate.

Floyd is the bigger draw but Pac is right behind him.

Both are great draws though, not even debatable.

Are you trying to argue that PBF is a bigger PPV draw than Oscar was:lol:

Is gonzarelli going to argue about how emmanuel rightfully deserves a 50/50 split in a fight with Mayweather, after Saturday's fight does at least twice the numbers of The Uneveuntful Event?:think

Difference between oscar, marquez, and hatton is that both guys DID fight those guys. Floyd vs Clottey is some speculative what if **** that doesn't even exist.

No. Not even close, I was merely pointing out that when both started fighting on PPV, they weren't doing anything near what they did at their peak.

Floyd broke 1 million total in his 3 first, while Oscar did not.

And Oscar is the king simply by numbers, he's been on PPV 19 times.

I don't know. Floyd could easily ask for 55-60% of the purse, and get it, he's clearly that bigger of a draw but it won't matter, if they properly promote this, this fight will break all the records.

Do you think Floyd or Pac will end up selling more ppv in their careers then ODLH.

    No.

They both got on PPV to late into their career. (Floyd more so than Pac)

but Pac insist he only has a few fights less and unless he does 2+ each fight he won't come close, neither will Floyd.

But if they fight each other, I have no doubt that both will end their career averaging higher PPV buys per event than Oscar.

    Several reasons:

When DLH fought Floyd, he was hinting at it being his last fight and him fighting the undefeated #1 PFP fighter in the world was a huge deal.
The first 24/7 also helped a lot!

And just in case you want to argue that PBF brought a huge precentage of that crowd, Don't forget that he was turning people away with his performance in his previous fight:deal

In regards to PAC/DLH, you have to remember that most people were claiming this fight was a farce. Remarkable the amount of PPVs it sold under the circumstances, again, most of this was on the basis of DLH's drawing power!

People paid for both fights to see DLH fight Pac and Floyd.

They didn't pay to see DLH fight anyone.

DLH can't draw great numbers vs nobodies. Only Tyson could do that.

Good, so Floyd has enough drawing power to rake in an additional million sales vs a big name, but emmanuel doesn't.:good

Floyd had the benefit of being the "B" side on his first three PPV fights.
DLH didn't have that going for him.
