It's funny you say Martinez beat Williams ass when Martinez said himself that he thought the fight was so close that could go either way. <<So i guess he don't agree with you.
I'd say they beat each other's asses. Close fight, but both fighters took some clear punishment. Not saying that's what he was saying, but Martinez did beat some ass in that fight.
Ok thats his opinion just like i have mine! I watched Martinez land alot of punches to Paul Williams face and watched him knock him down. Yes the fight was close but Martinez won that fight, he was robbed in my eyes. Once again this is my opinion on the fight. Paul Williams talking like he went out and whooped some azz. Nobody is scared of him cause he has been exposed flat out.
He used his jab well against Margarito. At MW I can see him at the top if he starts boxing. The MW division is not deep right now (lot of fresh blood but too young) By seeing who Jacobs is fighting I expect Williams to be retired when he starts stepping up. Agree on the SMW: he shouldnt go there!
he has not fought at welter weight in TWO years. I dont see him coming back to that so all that welterweight **** about him being too intimidating for them and them being scares is nonsense. he needs to stay at middleweight and see what he can do against the pavliks and martinezes(again) of the world).
Yeah he was able to hit Margo with a Jab because everyone can hit Margo. Against a better fighter I think his balance isn't good enough to apply this part of his game.
Not exactly FMJ, Mosely, Cotto, Pac now is it. Easy for you to say "he should fight at middleweight" but the guy can make 147 and WAS avoided at 147. The fact that he fight in 3 weight classes is ****ing incredible. He SHOULD look for the biggest fights he can get and is willing to meet people in order to make it happen. Props PW!
Yeah props towards him though. I was kidding about the being too tall part but y'all toke it seriously. I don't want him to go to 147 again and risk being weight drained so I much prefer him stay at MW. But, WW is the best division now so I can't blame him for wanting to fight there. Cheers:good
You think Williams is tall, look at this guy: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=7532&cat=boxer Guillermo Jones, current cruiserweight champion, is 6'4 and a former welterweight.
