Right now they're replaying the entire 4 rounds of Montiel-Hasegawa.

from that angle it looks like Montiel barely landed any punches at all when Hasegawa had his arm tangled

Intelligent reaction after first saying ''Montiel was only relying on his puncher's chance and got it''.

Stupid post from a stupid poster albeit.

I said he was relying on a puncher's chance after round 3. It was obvious he wasnt going to outbox Hasegawa or accumulate any damage on him and was looking for that one shot and he did get it.

In fairness, that statement doesn't necessarily imply thinking Montiel is totally unskilled; just that the gulf in class between he and Hasegawa appeared to be pretty wide. It's not unreasonable to say he relied on a puncher's chance when he hadn't really come close to winning a round (even the one in which he scored the KO).

Yeah, he took clear shots no matter what angle you see it from. Montiel landed at least one bomb that was even harder than the two hooks that got Hozumi in trouble in the first place. His head snapped like one of those things you pull to start a game of pinball.

I thought Montiel done a good job disrupting Hasegawa's rhythm. A few times i thought Haswaga had him figured out and was starting to land the jab and straight left then a change in stance and Hase was missing a lot. Like you say i doubt Montiel was going to outbox him as he wasn't really countering enough of Hase's output.

They're showing a makeshift press conference in Hozumi's locker room. The reporters are mostly being quiet and letting Hozumi look sad and wipe his face with a towel. They're asking questions intermittently and Hozumi is responding calmly and professionally but you can see in his eyes he just wants it to be over with and to go drown his woes in sake.

We're only getting highlights of Aoh vs. Garcia.

It looks like Garcia was successful early with the right hand but Aoh began to time it and dropped Garcia with a counter hook. He later stopped Garcia with a huge flurry of unanswered punches.
