Jones KO one or two. No knock on Tony, but he never fought this caliber.

Ayala beats RJJ when Edwin Valero beats Kostya Tszyu, Gerald McClellan beats Michael Spinks, and Ike Ibeabuchi beats Muhammad Ali.

Jones would destroy him inside 2 or 3 rounds. Ayala was sloppy and in no way proved that he was capable of fighting at this level. Jones would pick him off at will, total mismatch.

Yeah that hand placement of Ayala would not work against the handspeed of this guy. And he does not have quick enough footwork to corner the guy and most likely would get caught off balance after punching. Jones was a lot busier fighter at 160 and would have a picnic against that defense and meanwhile Ayala is going to have a real tough time finding Jones.

It is the quality of opposition. Tony was a good prospect but unproven. Anyone who says he could knock out Jones is just saying it. Tony never proved against this level that he could win. Jones is just too much, as would Hearns and Duran and Leonard be for Ayala. Too big a jump in caliber for a guy who didn't fight top guys yet. We don't even know if he could have handled the Davey Moore caliber, although I think he could have.

TOny would push Jones and make him work and test his heart at times however, Jones has to much speed and wins a convincing decision although One of those fights that the convincing winner is taxed hard and threatened at times.

Is this serious? Jones wins every second of every round, although Ayala may be tough enough to last the full 12.
