His manager got him a hugh a european title shot and a hugh purse?? Now he virtually secured a world title eliminator with Smith in September? People were talking about 'one more big pay day' for Magee last year and now it looks like he has one more shot at the big time....not to mention by all accounts looks set to have got him a big pay day voluntary defence inbetween!!! Not bad management in my books?
Lads, very good local boxing round-up in The Newsletter today - fast becoming my favourite read of the week:good Sinky's column is excellent as usual - he was saying that he saw Mosely fight Eamon Magee in the Amateurs and Sinky is back in training as well:happy Bits and pieces on McCloskey, Corbett, Little Red does the Six million dollar fighter this week and last, but certainly not least, there is a good feature with McGuigan and a cracking photo of The Jackal on Cavehill. Pity no links to share, there ya go.....:good
Burnett won and guaranteed at least a bronze but O'Reilley lost (8-0!) with Ward and Blaney up later.
