Nope. a 50/50 split on both sides is a must. If both fighters want something other than an even split, they don't want the fight.

If the Mosley fight does sell over 1.5 million, what makes you think Pacquiao deserves 50/50?

That's your personal opinion. However, your opinion does not neccesarily equal reality. In the end, it really doesn't matter. If Floyd wins, Pacquiao will be taking those tests and the fight will take place in November.

I'd hope they'd both be OK with 50/50 split also, because it'd make fight negotiations that much eaiser...but why don't you think Floyd has a legit claim to a higher purse percentage, assuming his fight with Mosley does really big numbers? What's the tangible evidence that Pac is an equal attraction?

Why didn't Floyd get 50/50 with De La Hoya then?

Because even though he was the p4p king as you put it he knew Oscar was the bigger cash draw and was the one bringing in more money to the fight.

Dela Hoya was an excemption. No way Floyd will ever be as big as Dela Hoya.

Word is that People pay to see Mayweather lose. People don't like Floyd. LOL

P4P king??? Ok...maybe he should get to wear the cooler trunks are something. But, as far as economics go, what tangible evidence suggest that Pac is an equal attraction to Mayweather?

I'm not talking about Mayweather being as big as De La Hoya though, I'm giving you an example of where being pound for pound number one doesn't mean you should automatically get an even split against someone who brings in more money than you do.

I don't doubt that people pay money to see Mayweather lose but it's still money that he is bringing in.

How many true boxing fans are out there compare to the casual fans that the promoters are targeting to watch the fight?

Pacquiao on the other hand, he brings excitement in the sport. People watch to see him beat the **** out of his opponent or even KO his opponents.

The fight should really come down to 50/50 split.
