2 years ago, noone wanted to talk about Bute and his IBF belt.. It was all about the best (Calzaghe WBO champ) against the second best (Kessler WBC, WBA champ) for a unification.. After that the winner would seek new challenge in USA and light heavyweight...

Calz won and went to the states to plunder...

How come a poor economical Kessler with a poor manager got the chances to win 2 belts and WBO from calz?

Why didnt Bute get these chances? Cuz he wasnt good enough.. He ducked all good boxers stating that if the money was good enough they would fight.... ^^

So kessler and calz was the best at smw..

OK.. Now calz left, and Kessler was clearly the best..

    Kessler went inactive...

Meanwhile Bute's best fight = Andrade, wich he should have lost on KO last round no doubt..

    Kessler still nr.1

Kesslers first next big fight after years was Ward... at that time Kessler was defently number 1 even tho he was inactive... What was Bute's Rank? NOT second.. Otherwise he would have been in the tourney..

Kessler lost to Ward. Kessler lost first place and Wba belt.

Bute beats Andrade and Miranda.. Thats okay.. Nothing WOW since every1 else in the top has beat those BUM..

And suddenly Bute is the best?

    Okay.. :think

    Ward beat Miranda and Kessler

    Bute beat Miranda and Andrade

Thats clearly Ward in the lead since Kessler was nr.1 when i got beaten and dominatet Andrade.

Even Froch is better with Pascal, Dirrell, Taylor..

So please.. All Bute fans.. give it a break for a moment untill Bute fight some top class fighters..

Bute Shuld be ranked 4 or 5 IMO... MAAAYBE 3...

Huh? Bute didn't even win a belt until after Calzaghe-Kessler was signed.

That's a big bucket of fail.

If you're only looking at the best win and not the entire body of work, you can legitimately rate Bute at #4. But it doesn't change the fact that Bute's 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th best wins are all equal or better to Ward's or Dirrell's 2nd best wins.

HBO thinks Ward is the number #1 boxer. Max Kellerman has mentioned it at least twice, and Bute is with HBO while Ward is with ShowTime.

i think bute should have the number two spot right behind ward given his last 2 performances but.... as soon as the turney finishes bute is going to have the performance of a lifetime when he dismantles ward... firmly placing him at number 1:good

Kelllerman said people were putting Ward at number 1. That was not his opinion. He also added that Miranda would help to compare Ward and Bute. Since you seem to trust Kellerman, that means you think Bute is better, because he was able to do much better than Ward. Well, thank you.

Lennox Lewis went to see Bute after the fight and told him: you're number1.

I may have gone overboard in saying that HBO thinks that Ward is #1, but I honestly thought Kellerman said that Ward is the #1 boxer. I was just trying to give a counterexample to the TS's post that there are some people who think Ward is #1 and Bute is #2. Yes, I remember now that Lewis did say that Bute is #1.

Personally, I think Ward is #1, and Bute is #2 base on resume. But if Ward and Bute were to fight one another, it's a tough call. I would probably give a slight edge to Ward, because of his dominating performance over Kessler, but it's hard to tell because Bute has a lot of arsenal up his sleeves that he probably didn't get a chance to show in his fight against Miranda. There is also the style matchup issue to consider that further complicates any predictions.

Hiro, we all know you are just a ****in hater. It doesn't even matter if he's number 1,2 or 3. He's good, exciting and top 5 for sure, so you can just let it go and STFU. :hi:

"HIRO" is definitely desperate to rally people to his cause which is "Let's Make Everyone Hate Bute for no Reason".

Bute was just starting to make a name for himself when Kessler & Calzaghe fought. Somehow I'm sure you already knew that...

Let's not forget that your beloved Froch decided to skip a fight with Bute in an eliminator to go after Tatevosyan instead...

And Bute would have schooled Frochy if it wasn't for his desire to clear up the Andrade case before the Super 6 tournament.

Hey "Hiro" the respect that you withhold for Bute is the pain that you carry...:hey

Man, Hiro's got some nerve to post about Lucian after his "accurate" prediction.
But, seriously, Kellerman said that Lucian was Hearns dunno about his opinion. I love Lucian, but wtf ...
