If you could choose the gloves for the fight: Grant or Cleto Reyes?

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Juiceboxbiotch, Apr 30, 2010.

  1. Grants are supposedly the "Defensive Gloves." Some people call them "pillows." The padding is supposedly softer and more difficult to score a knockout with.

Cleto Reyes are known as the classic "Puncher's Gloves." Horse hair is used for padding. They are also generally a little smaller.

If you had your pick of gloves to be used in a fight you were going to WATCH (not participate in) Which gloves would you choose?

I prefer Cleto but its the fighter's choice, they should wear the gloves they want without one imposing his gloves on the other.

  5. The brand of gloves used in the fight doesn't magically turn the fighters into "school girls" and has no effect on whether they run from eachother or not. Yer overdoing it a little. :deal

It's like asking if you prefer a 26' ring vs an 18' ring.

Why on earth would you want to watch a guy climb into the ring just to run away? There is difference between outboxing and outrunning.

Im laughing at the people picking gloves and yet they probably never boxed with a pair in their lives.
