He turned it down cuz mayweather wouldn't change the 14 days plan.. manny agreed to test 24 days before but floyd wouldn't agree. It's funny how many people just go to conclusion that pac turned down the fight cuz he doesn't want to do the test when in realilty he agreed to all the test except the 14 days plan. :hi:

fair enough if u all wanna look into things that deeply but the fact of the matter is pac is not just beating these guys he's totally destroying them. just think if it was mayweather in the cotto fight at that point in cotto's career, would mayweather have done wot pac did? i think he would have beaten him but not in the way pac did. and as for the hatton fight i dont think it would have mattered if hatton was washed up or not the same thing would of happened. im not saying pac is better than mayweather because it's to much of a hard one to call but lets not get it twisted an start questioning how good pac is.

Been looking at the video and comments on this thread? Is this video aimed at *******s? Jus proving to them that Pac isn't the holy grail he's into the money just like mayweather?

If it is thats cool but at the same time watching it I cant discredit Roach. Pac is like a son to him so its understandable why he didnt want him to fight Mosley at that time. Everyone whose coached or has a decent amount of experience in boxing knows it takes time to get accustom to a weight so fighting Mosley a true 147 for your first fight at the weight doesn't make sense. Roach made the correct call in my personal opinion. I firmly believe if Mayweather was still retired and Mosley didt have a fight, Pac would of fought Mosley after the clottey fight.
Roach just made the sensible decision and whats wrong with that? If he made Pac fight Mosley as his first fight he would of been a BAD coach. All in all watchin the video makes me have alot more respect for roach. Boxing is a brutal game getting hit by a true power puncher can do severe damage. its good to see someone in the game who puts his boxer first before anything else.

I personally didint credit the pac win over oscar I CREDITTED ROACH!!! Why because he made the correct call, he made pac a ton of money with little risk. Personally thats what I call a good coach. He knows his fighters limitations and what type of training/conditioning he needs, how long it'll take for him to get there , what fighter he should be boxing at the stage of his career and what he needs to do before he can fight the best. If thats not a top coach I dont know what is. In my opinion being a coach means taking the responsibility of a fighters life. A boxer trusts you with his life and his safe keeping, if you cant fullfill this you aint a coach at all.
People can call roach a cherry picker or a ducker. But at the end of the day the people who calling roach these names aren't boxers and problem have never felt true leather. Unless you know the mental/physical repurcussion especially the mental damage being in a fight can do. I dont think its fair to critisize. In my time i've seen alot of coaches who treat there boxers as tool. Its good to see a coach who actually cares. Its the same thing with Amir. Amir can spout all he wants about how Maidana ducked him but Roach knows the truth. He knows that the stage Amir is at he doesn't stand a chance against Maidana. It doesn't mean he cant beat him.....it just means that Roach wants to develop Amir into a fighter who can deal with such fighters without taking to much or if any damage himself.

With Mayweather in your video you mentioned the Corralles fight. Mayweather and Ellerbe are both astute businessman and great decision makers. In your video you had a snapshot of Corralles vs Mayweather. You faiil to mention the leadup to the fight. Its probably worse than the Pac v Oscar fight. So in that respect you cant knock the pac team for that. During the build up to the corralles fight. Deigo was dealing with gbh (i believe but could be wrong) that were filed against him by his partner. He was also dealing with a fude with his then promoter. Also the main point was that he was fighting Mayweather at a weight he couldn't make. Corralles and its on record was weight drained prior to the weigh in. Mayweather ducked Corralles until the right time. Till he knew that all the cards were in his favour. Corralles was a shell of the who defeated manfredy. He struggled with weight with that fight and struggled even more with the Mayweather fight. In fact he only took the mayweather fight due to his dislike of mayweather. And you bet Mayweather took advantage of it. The build up to the fight all mayweather did was bring it up just like he's doin with Mosley.

If you ask me Roach and Mayweathers team are just the same. The only difference is Roach doesn't subject his fighter to non stop verbal insults prior to the fight

Freddi Basically just admitted that the DLH win doesn't really mean anything, because Oscar was shot and weight drained. Pac performance was a product of Oscar being finished, not his own greatness.

It's so easy to pluck out a video from any time and use it to dispute present-day reality.

When Roach declined Mosely then, Pac had only fought Hatton and DLH, and everyone was saying that Pac didn't really belong in the WW division. Even Roach then didn't know for sure how Pac would fare against the punches of legit WWs, thus the request for 145 catchweight for Cotto. Now, after Pac's performance against Cotto and Clottey, most people, including Roach, are eager to see Pac fight the Shane/Money winner.

Why use that to assert your claim that Pac and Roach are ducking Mosely?

Name one super featherweight who could have done the same to the shot and weight-drained ODLH, who just months ago roundly defeated Steve Forbes at 150? Freddie was confident of Pac's chances, yes. But it still needed Pac to trust the gameplan and deliver the goods despite widespread doubt from knowledgeable boxing experts. And for that, you have to give him credit.
