Went with Ali - Liston, big upset at the time. Why didn't you include Foreman - Moorer or Tyson - Douglas?
Ali--Spinks. People not following the sport at the time have no idea how far off the radar screen Leon was in 1978.
Spinks surprised me, did not think he was enough of a heavyweight, having NEVER fought in the heavyweight division prior to that fight. Spinks skill level was solid, he took a clear win and dominant finish in fight 1, impressive for fighting for the 1st time as a heavyweight and winning a title
Honeyghan-Curry. Don Curry was a consensus P4P number one after his stunning unification of the WW Title over McCrory. This was a complete surprise. The Cobra beat Starling handily in their rematch, trashed LaRocca, Colin Jones, Roger Stafford and Hard Rock Green, and he was barely 25 years old. The future seemed to be all his when the older Honeyghan came along, and SRL himself had anointed Curry as his successor. This was a real shocker.
