In watching the fight you could see that Montiel patiently waited for Hasegawa to lower his hand to deliver that left. Hasegawa was fighting well. It was a good fight...
Wow talk about bull**** with the reports about this fight. Hardly the dominate Hozumi fight that fightnews and some of the posters made it out to be. The first two rounds were close I had Montiel winning the first and Hozumi winning the second but both were close. The third I gave to Hozumi but it was hardly a dominate round and the 4th was a Montiel round when the knock out happened. Hozumi landed maybe 1 or 2 clean punches the others either missed or hit the gloves. Montiel while he was more inactive he landed the more cleaner shots. I saw one poster say Hozumi beats Montiel 9 times out of 10 and I think that could be the dumbest thing ever said on this site after actually watching the fight. It was an even competitive fight up until the KO. Great win for Montiel.
I thought that hasegawa was very tentative and began to bring it on in the third.. I honestly felt that Montiel was going to win by ko in the 11th because he faced better opposition than Hasegawa...
damn Jimmy Lennon speaks like every language perfectly . also respect to Montiel for going to the Champs backyard and winning a fight most thought he couldnt.
Yeah totally agree. But I have to say after that punch landed it was pretty much acedemic what was going to happen. Montiel T/KO.
wow now that was unexpected lol, Damn, it seems that Hasegawa was seen as this beast but Montiel did his homework, well done Mr Montiel
