I thought it was close and hard to score, could have went either way.

I'm still not convinced, I think Hasegawa's mobility would be enough to out manuever him and Hasegawa would win fairly wide. Undecided on Montiel now.

Hase looked great getting out of trouble always seemed a step ahead of Montiel today but lost his head a bit for the knockdown.

Agreed, Hasegawa's footwork was really good, he just got himself out of range before Montiel could counter but he was caught defenceless for the left hook that led to the stoppage :-(

Hozumi opened up and Montiel saw the angle. Beautiful shot.

...Knew people were being silly writing Montiel off expecting him to get destroyed.

Montiel-Darchinyan finally on the horizon? Montiel wants the fight and Darchinyan has said that if the Donaire fight isn't signed soon he will move to Bantam again for another crack at a title. This fight didn't happen a few years ago and I was well pissed at the time, but it looks like it could well happen if things continue as they are going:happy. Darchniyan TKO 7:deal:yep.

Maybe Hasegawa isn't moving up in weight so soon.

As an aside, what a class act Hasegawa is:

“I got caught off guard when I lost focus for a split second,” said Hasegawa. “I was in top form and put in all the training necessary so I can’t argue about who was the better fighter if I lose.”
