There is a distinctive difference in the way the 2 gloves feels and for anyone who boxes regularly they will know what the difference is. So it can make a difference especially to a power puncher.

Demand nothing, he could have just not agreed to the 8oz and made Shane fight with the STANDARD which is 10 oz.
I really get a kick out all of this shite . . . if it is in the contract it is in the contract . . . it does not really matter as long as both sides agree. Floyd agreed to fight oscar with all of his conditions and still won. I am sure he would have fought with his gloves but he agreed to that. gloves and ring size is different then catchweight though. If you want to fight for MW or WW title it should be at those weight limits or you should not be able to call yourself champ. You might still get the win and the credit for the win but you should not get the strap.
