Mayweather has a chance to become an immortal and be listed among the greatest of all time. This is the most important fight of his career and I predict this will be one of the greatest fights the world has ever seen.

I think the winner of this fight will win by defense. If Mayweather can put on the defensive performance of his life he can win. It's going to take a defensive masterpiece.

Can he do it? Can he block punches coming from all angles? Can he deal with the fast hands of Shane Mosley? Does Floyd Mayweather Jr have the heart to win this career defining fight?

ehh i think that's pushing it a little. It'll be a great win, maybe the best of career. I think a victory over Pacquiao would be much more significant.

Sure a victory over Pacquiao would be more significant but in my opinion Mayweather will have solidified his all time great hall of fame status. When people think of SRR and Ali, they'll think of him. When people go to gyms and see portraits of the greatest fighters of all time hanging on the wall, his portrait will be on the wall next to the other greats.

If he were to beat Pacquiao then he'd just move up even higher in world consciousness but just by beating Mosley he will become a legend. He will have nothing left to prove, unless he is serious about trying to be greater than SRR, and then he'd have to beat Pacquiao, and fight Paul Williams at 154.

It's technically possible for Mayweather to be the greatest boxer of all time but it's very unlikely that he has the heart, the discipline, the motivation to do it.

If he were to beat Mosley in 2010, and beat Pacquiao and Williams, would you all agree that hes as great as SRR? I'd think he'd be able to make that argument.

And even if he does lose, he can still make the argument if he has wins over these fighters. SRR has losses. The difference is SRR would have taken on these fights. Even SRL would have taken these fights.

Mosely lost to Cotto, Pac beat Cotto, stopped him! Void refused to fight Pac and Cotto. Margarito did not train for the Mosely fight, so you can't put too much into that win, but he still can beat Void. Void put rematch clause into the contract. Void, Sr. did not want Void to fight Pac.

Even if you don't like the **** that comes out of his mouth, if he wins this fight we all have to respect his abilities as a boxer and athlete.
