ummm maybe...had he fought at least cotto, pacman, margarito, paul williams. beating a 38 year old welterweight will not make him one of the greatest of all time....i told you not to be stupid, sit down , shut up :rofl

By beating mosley will get a lot of his critics off his back, I'll say that...

It depends on how he wins. If he pulls another Baldomir and has people leaving the arena before the fight is over then he'll be immortalized but probably not how he'd want to be

he's already one of the ATGs and this win will add to it.. but it'll move him up just a couple of spots to top 50 or top 45.. that's it.. now if he beats pacquiao and another big name before he retires then he can move up to top 20

immortalized? no.. Cotto beat Shane. People are aware that Shane is 38. But it is a good win and maybe his best win yet in all likelyhood it would be better for Floyd to have at tough fight than to dominate. If he dominates then it looks like Shane is over the hill. If he has a war and prevails he fought with a great Shane and prevailed. Sounds dumb but sometimes having a war is important.

paul williams, margarito, berto, sergio martinez, miguel cotto, cory spinks, angulo, devon alexander.. are all worthy opponents that can show his greatness if he can beat them and even more if he beats them convincingly.. instead of fighting the scrubs and old champions he's been fighting during his entire career...

When did then happen? If I remember correctly PAC walked away from the fight using every excuse possible and even filing a lawsuit to not fight Mayweather. Cotto was "too green" according to arum when Floyd offered him the fight a couple of times when both was @ 140 after the Gatti fight.
