The random drug testing is a farce

it was only urine

but yes the system needs tweaking but anyone that dosent think its good to KNOW that the fighters are clean come fist bell , is just plain wrong

 

It's a little over the top I must admit. This kind of testing for every fighter across the board is very unrealistic. Make drug testing stricter in boxing but this Olympic style bull**** is not gonna fly.

 

We still dont know if they're clean,these tests are more effective than just testing urine but you can still get away with it if you're cheating,cyclists do it all the time.

 

the idea of it being random is the key

no idea when you may be tested therfore no time to fiddle the stats

 

Cyclists get random tested all the time and it doesnt stop them from being all doped up.

With random tests theres a bigger chance that they get caught but they can still get away with cheating.

 

yeah - the olympics go for 2 weeks. these guys train for 4 months. i could see how this could get annoying. giving blood would take something out of you- no matter what people say. i admire these guys for doing all this and not complaining. hopefully they can develop a technology where they just give hair or dna samples soon. giving blood and **** is clearly an invonvenience to a guy like shane , who has to squeeze his asse off to fit into a 147 frame.

 

ofcourse you can still avoid being caught but its also a deterant more tha anything

then youve beat the system but at some point that drug will be detected and they will review your samples at a later date

 

olympic style testing is not for boxing.... its bull**** that a fighter having to make weight just days before a fight has to provide **** for these wankers.... the testiung weeks before fight is ok

 

olympic athletes have to adire to this testing all year round not for the 2 weeks the olympics happen to be on

 

granted the fight would be dne but you would have been exposed as a cheat

again though ths testing is good but needs tweaking

 

This Mosley - Mayweather testing was a nice experiment to let us see the flaws in the system. There has to be somekind of happy medium where the testing can get stricter and more reliable than what we have now, but not as over the top as what the Olympic style testing provides.
