Nice try? I had a quick google to find information from 18 months ago. Im not too interested in your opinion as i remember clearly what i read and what Pavlik said. Could have been in a magazine could have been on line. Either way i dont care. All i know is Pavlik has always made excuses following his losses. Now if Pavlik says he's more "comfortable" at 160 why complain about making the weight now? Additionally i thought my point was clear in that Pavlik was complaining about the extra poundage being the mitigating factor for his peformance. Not Hopkins being too big for him. Not entirely sure "how" you managed to read that?
If you really believe this, then please explain to me why 3 of the 6 guys in the super six claimed former Pavlik vicitms as their best wins, and why one of the 6 was a 2 time pavlik victim?
Whoa what kind of bull**** maths is that supposed to be?!?! The bottom line is Pavlik is a simple 1 2 guy. ANY savvy box puncher from 160 to 75 stands him on his head FACT. Pavlik will always be able to beat frontrunners like JT and look good against guys like Miranda but when in with a sound box puncher he's going to get beat. Pavlik is easy to hit, has a porous defence, poor footwork and a very limited shot selection. Face it the boy is overrated. Matter of fact the "Ring" ran an article on him some years back long before he was even close to a world title about him being a protected and overrated fighter.
What the **** do you think this means? "It just wasn't me tonight. I'll be more comfortable going back to 160."
Taylor was ahead on the cards against Froch before he gassed. I guess it would be generous to call him competitive against Abraham the way he fought but he did make it into the last round. Maybe by tournaments end we won't be considering Froch and Abraham 'top' though?
Please explain how am i a hypocrite? That thread i said why many making excuses of Martinez didn't have a full training camp in the Williams fight while Williams didn't have a full training camp either to prepare for Martinez? I'm not making excuses. <<It's those people that make excuses for Martinez. Hell Williams had a bad injured ribs before the Margarito fight and Williams still won the fight. So unlike Pavlik, Williams still does his stuff in the ring while not 100 percent and still wins it.
What muscle? Sure didnt see it when he fought Martinez. Pav is a big guy. He's always weighed around 170 or so on fightnight. The fact that he's up at 192 2 weeks after the fight is no big deal at all.
Yup, him and his team will tell you they jumped up 2 weight classes and lost to a legend. What they fail to say is they lost to a career long middleweight ten pounds above the limit who was 43 years old
Hopkins could have made the fight at 75. It was Pavliks team that insisted on a catchweight of 170 so their boy wouldnt be too disadvantaged. Pavlik and his team can wax philosophical on semantics all he likes and so can his fans. Bottom line is Hopkins exposed him as a very simple slugger. Wouldnt have mattered if this fight was at 160 168 or 75 Hopkins would still tap that ass.
Booradley, make up your mind. At first you saying Pavlik is a shot fighter but now you talking like Pavlik can still beat top fighters. Dude at 168 pounds, Pavlik won't beat the fighters i mention earlier like Dirrell, Ward, Kessler, Bute, Abraham and yes even Froch could beat Pavlik. And i'll tell you why. Ward would easily beat Pavlik with his speed and movement. Dirrell would do the same thing but maybe better cause Dirrell got pop. Kessler would win maybe by late tko cause he's a bit faster and more experience at the smw. Bute would easily destroyed Pavlik. Abraham will do the same like starting slow but when he picks up the pace, Pavlik will get beat up badly cause Abraham is faster and maybe a bit stronger. Now with Froch that would be a war but i think Froch would win it cause he's a bit bigger in body size and has the better chin in which he can take a punch very well.
