Where would you rank Mayweather (P4P all time) if he wins tonight?

It would be a solid win (not a legendary win) that would place him in the Top20, in my opinion.

He would be #19 or #20. Close to Julio Cesar Chavez, above Emile Griffith, Gene Tunney, Tony Canzoneri, Tommy Hearns.

He would be bellow Gans, Whitaker, Louis, Jones, etc.

He enters the top 10 if he/s not already there.

A good win, 8-4 type win. He goes in at number 15 for me, perhaps higher If certain people he beat go to the Hall, particularly Gernaro Hernandez.

A dominant performance 10-2, 11-1, 12-0 or a Stoppage and he goes in at number 10.

floyd needs some good wins before i'd consider putting him that high. More than beating 38 year old Shane.

Id say he creeps into the top 15, but top 10 if he beats Pacquiao aswell.

This joke of a fight will have absolutely no effect on Floyd's P4P rankings. Mosely is an old man looking for a paycheck...nothing more. :D

He'll crack top 30 for me. To make top 20 he'd need to beat Shane and Pac convincingly then go up to 154 or 160 and beat a legitimate fighter there.

Mayweather has more left in him. It depends how he wins, and what Mosely does next before his performance can be put in perspective.

Having said that, Mosley is a hall of fame fighter, with something left in his gas tank. If Mayweather wins, and remains UN-defeated, he is going to inch his way a few slots better on ATG lists.

I do not understand why you are mentioning names like Canzoneri and Griffith when you clearly don't know the first thing about these men. You may have seen their names in the Classic Forum or saw them listed in a book, but you know absolutely **** all about their careers if you think a win over a 38 year old Shane Mosley (who was beaten by Miguel Cotto not long ago) where Floyd is an odds-on favourite to win, is enough to move him ahead of Canzoneri and Griffith and anywhere near a top 20.

I'd can the list-making for now and start learning my history if I were you chum.

Personally, a win over Shane might see Floyd crack top 50, as it will be a very good win indeed. However, Floyd still does not have a top 50 calibre resume, not by a fair distance.

Top 20. If he can beat Pac and then move up to 154/160 and beat a legitimate champ there, then he is top 10, no argument.
