I believe his gameplan here will be to move in and out of range throwing simple one twos and back out again not giving floyd the chance to counter (naz throwing the towel as shane moves out being the counter) then goes back in again. Aiming to outwork floyd throughout.

    Thoughts?

They'll have a lot of gameplans for this fight; they're gonna have to keep changing them to win these rounds and to remain effective.

Having a gameplan is all well and good, however the fact of the matter is.... Implementing a gameplan against a far superior opponent is harder than it is a towel :good

You gotta get to Floyd to throw those one-twos before he throws leather. Can't see it happening consistently enought to cause damage and get a win.

I do think their work with the pipe lagging is innovative though, rather than the pads.

Kinda mimics working against an opponent with a decent reach.....

Mosley can't really do that though without it looking too contrived and unnatural. He likes to set himself and wing in the punches when goes on offense and make a dent. If he does that, it will look very arm-punchy without much pop.

So I remain sceptical that this is his game plan, and even more so that he can actually pull it off effectively.

Shane doesn't have the footwork and the angles to work this tactic against a defensive wizard, a punch and hold gameplan would be much more effective imo. But like 'unstoppable' said though to beat Floyd you need more then one plan and make constant adjustments and this is where Shane's versatility comes in because Shane can imitate any style and has the athleticism to carry it out. He needs a lot of mixing up, press the action early and then try and draw Floyds lead in spots. Basically don't be predictable and let Mayweather get in a rythm.

I think that Floyd, the master 'adapter' isn't all that hot at adapting as is made out. He didn't do **** against Castillo - even the rematch was close.

The likes of Judah, Baldomir, Hatton and Oscar had all had their liabilities exposed by the time he fought them. And really, the Marquez fight told us nothing about how sharp Floyd really is. In the same way that Margarito was 'made' for Mosley, Marquez was made for Floyd.

I don't think you need to keep changing - I think you need to use that slow start to lay some hurt on Floyd's body and keep him defensive early on, then jab him in the middle rounds, then go to work in the final third.

I love how you break down the 'X's and O's', it really does make for better reading than the usual rubbish, and you clearly know the sport.

However I am gonna feel pretty sorry for you, come 6am when all your work detailing how Mosely will emerge victorious has been shattered :good

    Enjoy the fight boys :good

That gameplan makes Shane sound like Pacquiao.

Only problem being he doesn't move very well, his legs are nearly 40 yrs old. That sort of scuppers a plan dependent on moving in and out.
