Do you think a prime ODLH was a slow brawler?

that "just a REALLY FAST BRAWLER" in his prime probably have a solid 50-50 (or more) chance to beat floyd. but unfortunately "what's sepacial about shane" was gone a few years ago IMO.

wow stupid pot to start the thread off.

Mosley has some beautiful boxing skills. He hooks off the jab better than just about anyone I've seen in the last 15 years. His power is astonishing, handspeed the same, head movement used to be superb, and his ring generalship and tactics are top notch.

He's kept himself at the top of his game whilst others around him have fallen. Dont write off the sugar man.

Speed. And natural size and strength at the weight. And he can swim without getting wet, stand on a Dragons tail and punch him in the belly.

I already know and fully aware that NONE of these posters will EVER...NEVER EVER give Floyd nor any fighter "Like Floyd" any real credit. Because their held to a higher standard. I remember the tons of threads calling a 23 year old Devon Alexander overrated after stopping 2 former belt holders. And the same amount of hating threads about a 25 year old Andre Berto beats 3 southpaws in row and two of them former belt-holders.

Example: After the negotiations with May/Pac failed Floyd had to secure a fight with a first-ballot Hall of Famer to avoid criticism...yet Pacquiao fights a middle of the road welter, coming of a loss and held NO BELT.

Another Example...Margarito didn't want to fight his mandatory challenger for his 147lbs title back in 07' (Paul Williams)....Williams threatened a LAWSUIT just to get that fight. And after failing to secure meaningful fights at 147lbs (i.e., NO-ONE WOULD FIGHT HIM) Williams moved up in weight. Winky Wright (who people still don't wanna fight), Scheduled a fight with the "So-called" best at 160lbs Pavlik...Pavlik cancels...so what does Williams do?....Fights the best at 154lbs. Then now he's fight Cintron...yet there are tons of threads calling Williams Overrrated.

Yet fighters like Pacquiao get MAD LOVE for beating fighters that are PAST-IT, WEIGHT-DRAINED OR DAMAGED!!!!

So INDEED...."Floyd" and fighters "Like Floyd" will never get the Respect nor the Credit they deserve...PERIOD, POINT-BLANK!!!!

True. The question mark over Mayweather's experience in this division is just as big as the question mark over Mosley's age. This is not a gimme fight for Mayweather by any means.
