How is Williams in any shape or form "like Floyd." The only thing they share is a darker skin pigmentation than fighters like Pavlik, otherwise how are they similar?:huh
:deal Mosley is flawed but he's the best opponent Floyd has faced in the last few years or possibly ever. Lets recall Floyd had tough fights with Castillo, Emanuel Augustus, Jesus Chavez, Judah and an old Oscar. Floyd simply hasn't been tested, and that's what makes this match intriguing.
It seems that according to most ESB posters that every single boxer sucks and is over rated..... I assume these same people would rather watch Mayweather shadowbox by himself for 12 rounds?
I take it you never watched the Collazo fight? He boxed circles around him. It was a great thing to watch.
You've got to like the way he's stepped to anyone his whole career. I wonder though if he wouldn't have been a better fighter at Lightweight and junior welter, sans the steroids.
Did you just contradict yourself? You blame haters for not giving proper credit for Mayweather but you just discredit Mosley for not being elite fighter. If Mosley is not elite fighter then who is? And how the haters and regular fans can give Floyd credit for beating non-elite fighter like Mosley???
You stated it though ... Mayweather has definitely fought some great opponents and is an excellent fighter ... But unfortunately ... Shane is old and has shown it in a few of his last fights ... and Pacquiao is small. I saw enough size difference in the JMM fight to tell me that Pacquiao is biting off alot getting in the ring with Mayweather. Love to see it though. Pac would still go in all guns blazing. I think most people would like to see Mayweather challenge himself against someone like Williams ... where he doesn't start with an acknowledged advantage.
There it is folks, you see it. Mayweather will never get credit for what he does in the ring. There will always be an excuse! Stayed in the pocket, outboxed and at times out exchanged what was a stronger fighter. When will people realize that it takes more than power to beat this man?
There is always two sides to the coin. You do have idiots that do not give the fighters you listed credit, however you are on the other side of the coin, claiming they never get any credit because theyre black and held to a higher standard. Let me spell it out for you with every name you mentioned above...with the exception of Berto, he's good, but I dont personally think hes that great..theyre all low risk/low reward fighters. People chose not to fight them for the same reason Floyd chose not to fight Margarito, Cotto etc..not because he was scared of t hem, but because it wasnt a good business decision. Wouldnt put up enough money for the risk involved with fighting them and possibly losing. As far as not giving them credit, of course you're gonna have idiots that will say paul Williams is overrated etc. People dont give Floyd credit because they dont like him. He does it to himself. Why should he give a **** what people on ESB think anout him anyway? A better question is why do you care so much?
