shane was breathing heavily through the mouth after a few rounds. wasn't even letting go of his right. he looked really exhausted early on, and it's not like floyd pressured him and tired him out. he tired himself out for whatever reason.
shane was getting countered even before he rocked floyd. i didn't think shane was as tired as people are saying. he was nervous and once he saw that floyd wasn't going anywhere, he begin to get discouraged. once floyd stared to become aggressive and come forward, shane knew that the fight was lost. i have never seen shane look like that, even in his fight with winky and forrest. let's face it, floyd is better than people want to give him credit for.
Hold on. I need to get this right. Are you denying that Shane was exhausted by round 3 where he was breathing heavy with his mouth wide open? I just need to know this before we take it any further, are you sure that I couldn't produce video evidence this time tomorrow showing Mosley to be breathing very heavily?
first off, props to floyd for the win. he did what he had to do... but watching the fight just convinced me that shane's old, shot to pieces and had a lot of ring rust because of inactivity..
yup!... I was like shane gassed out already??... maybe 'coz he's not able to hit Floyd.. and missed shots takes a lot of energy...
If he was that tired in round three *****.. he would of been gassed in round 12. Shane used extra energy being nervious and jittery just like Mayweather Sr said he would. All those wasted movements and combined with the fact he was nervous as **** even when he had Mayweather hurt.. He was thinking too much and feinting to much and just trying not to get outclassed. He landed huge fast right hands and Floyd tied him up and blocked everything else until he got his legs back. It aint rocket science *****. But he had his mouth open but was not that fatigued until the middle rounds clown. We all have seen fighters fight with their mouth open early... that **** aint new.
Being countered is a non factor. He was rarely hit clean and hard for the opening two rounds, he won the second round clearly, actually. So we can forget that. Becoming nervous and discouraged after just almost knocking down Floyd Mayweather Jr? ...In any event, being discouraged and nervous would make an athlete like Mosley, who's been in the game for well over a decade, become inordinately tired? ...Not for me. You make a good point about Shane never being like that before. Even if a prime Shane was being countered, I'd still envision him throwing his right hand, something he seldom did after round 2. None of your supposed explanations hold weight for me but thanks for addressing the thread questions. :good
It certainly appeared as tho' Mosley gassed. And I think Mosley's hesitation was attributed to him becoming gun shy after Floyd was able to land his counter and lead rights so effectively early on.
Mosley was NOT tired after 2 rounds. I saw him gas out after the 5th round. And that's because of what Mayweather was doing in the ring, plus age. Give the man his props.
I stopped reading after the opening line. I'm trying to have a discussion here, if you love Floyd and therefore are unable to talk sense than I'd rather you not make it everyone elses problem. Congratulations on the victory tonight.
Carles, I don't envision you maintaining this stance after video evidence is produced in a day or two. Mosley was tired by round 3, and I dare you to show me an example of Mosley being tired that early in any previous fight in his career. I'm not trying to discredit anyone, I'm trying to come up with reasons as to why a supreme athlete like Shane would be that tired when little fighting had been completed.
01. I think it needs to be noted that SSM WAS tired after two rounds and after landing that bomb he didn't even punch himself out. He was gassed. Makes me wonder how he threw all that leather at Margo. Hmm... 02. Mayweather destroyed him mentally and he refused to let his hands go because every time he did he got shredded.
He had a lot of pent up energy (nerves? at this stage in his career?). Once that adrenalin wore out that was it. Floyd on the other hand was very relaxed.
