You can't blame Shane's loss on a bad corner.

You can't really make excuses, period. An ATG just got his ass handed to him by a slow starter after having some early success (as most do).

Bro Naz valiantly did all he could to defy gravity and avoid a crash landing, but you can't fly in certain conditions, and there was a lightning storm in the ring.

What he said, when he said it, and how emphatically he said it were all perfect. There was just the right blend of admonishment and galvanizing positive reinforcement. "Build-break-build" is a trick they have in the sales business (and in many cults). Richardson's breaks don't even leave a crack showing.

Tactically, his vision of what to do was on-point. Moving around Floyd's punches, punching with him, focus on speed and timing, don't look for big shots but don't just stand there either - all good advice. Floyd just knocked all his advice right out of Shane's skull every time the bell rang.

He will continue to gain esteem, I'm sure. As his stable expands (or at least changes, as his main charges in Mosley and Hopkins retire and get replaced by new blood) he will come to be regarded as one of the best in the business.

With his aid, Mosley still takes Berto to school and flunks the young athlete.

Shane knocks Berto out. That has not changed. Berto cannot outfight Shane and his defense is sub par.

Man you are so right. I think Berto, Collazo, or one of these other young bucks needs to get with Brother Nazim YESTERDAY! He has so much talent it is a shame he doesn't have any young fighters in camp!

Spot on. I thought the X factor would be Brother Naz, and it was. Mosley just couldn't follow through with the advice, for whatever reason.

Everything that was said in the corner was 110% on the mark. The fighter still must execute.

If by what you mean Richardson should become Berto's trainer, I couldn't be in more agreeance.

Naz was giving all the right advice Mosley just didnt execute fully.

I hope Naz has a long tenure in the sport, I want to see him raise a good fighter from the start of his career. Naz would turn him into something very very special.
