Shane Looked To Me That He Was More Weary Of Throwing Than Being Dead Tired

Not saying he wasn't a little tired. But he seemed like he was being controlled. And didn't now how to get off much, and he looked like he was thinking way too much. As Naz said "You're over-thinking, stop hesitating, we practiced this."

I'll have to re-watch the film. But again, if I have to that means I have to be looking for it. The guy went 10 more rounds so he probably wasn't dead-tired after round 2. Seemed fine speaking in the post-fight interview. Again, I could be wrong. I thought it had to do with what Floyd was doing, and him not getting into a groove more than him being exhausted so early.

Yeah it was weird man, he seemed afraid to throw punches at times, doing that small bounce a lot and not throwing.

It's an obvious natural reaction when any time you do throw something you miss and get countered.

Of course that makes a fighter tentative and makes them fight scared.

He was afraid to throw because he knew it would get caught if he did.

There's nothing weird about it. It happens when you face PBF.:deal Also PBF has underrted power and strength I guarantee Shane says that in the post fight conference

He was getting the living Hell countered out of him. That's why he was weary of throwing. Shane came out strong, until Floyd stepped it up.

I donb't understand all of this "Shane was getting countered all night and that's why he didn't throw".

Shane was not countered hardly at all in the first two rounds. By the third, he stopped throwing punches. He would sit in the middle of the ring for 30 seconds at a time doing nothing, then get drilled by a jab or lead right. He did not get countered all night, as he was not throwing enough to even get countered. The last 6 rounds especially, Floyd led far more than Mosely did.

WHy Mosely did not throw more, I still don't know, but it wasn't becuase he was afraid to get countered.

HUGE props to floyd for shking off too solid shots, and then FORCING the action (I actually never thought I would say those words) on a hugely inactive Mosely.

My guess is that during those final exchanges at the end of the 2nd Floyd may have hurt Mosely. Not buckle his legs type hurt, but stunned him enough to get his attention and make him worry about getting planted later in the fight.

But I've only seen the fight once, so I'm just guessing.

I have no idea why people say he was tired. Shane looked and fought way worst against winky. It's a look of befuddlement and frustration. That's why he tried to throw Floyd against the ropes at one point. He was getting countered and the counters had pop on them. It's the same reason why Oscar stopped throwing the Jab... Floyd was countering over it and his body began to react to it, it's simple.

Yes, more nervous, timid, and even frustrated.

I mean, at one point he man-handled Mayweather in a clinch. I don't think Mayweather is stronger than Mosley. That is just silly talk, but he knows how to clinch and knew how to handle Mosley. Besides, Mosley is uncomfortable on the inside so that made it easy.

It's possible he exerted himself a lot in round 2. And when your tight and tense up you sometimes get tired. That's what Shavers said. But I honestly felt it was more of Mayweather controlling things and Mosley looking weary.

Exactly, so I'm not wrong in thinking this dead tired after round 2 stuff is getting way overblown?

Well, he was much more active against Winky, much more active. I know Winky stands there and lets you take a shot at him more than Mayweather, but still. Different Shane

When people mention counters they are talking about the power, strength, and regularity of them. Floyd makes the people he fights get confused and they really don't know what to do.

I mean the guy had a conversation in the ring with him. I don't think it was an exhaustion problem. Great post, I agree.
