Mayweather def. impressed me tonight, but Shane suddenly looked worn out before the 2nd round was even over. By the fourth or fifth, he was breathing heavy through his mouth. Couldn't let his hands go, and when he did, they were soft and without any snap. I was sure he broke his right hand with that 2nd-round punch, due to his sudden unwillingness to punch. But nope. It's not to take away from Mayweather's win, and lots of folks thought Mosley might pull it off. (I was really hoping he would.)
Nobody will prob. give Uncle and Sr. credit, but they were correct in their assessment that Shane's win over Margarito was not indicative of anything, and he was a lot more similar to the Shane who fought Mayorga.
They were also right about Shane forgetting everything Nazim taught him once he stepped foot on the apron.

Such nonsense. It's comical that some people still can't give Floyd credit without a tongue-in-cheek remark about Mosley not being at his best. Floyd TOOK AWAY Mosley's weapons with razor-sharp counters in a masterful display, then beat the hell out of him down the stretch, outfighting him in a way no one expected him to. Floyd's pound for pound, number one, and that's a fact. This is a Great win.

I am a Pac fan and I despise FMJ's personality and his family but you cannot for a moment deny he is the best boxer in the world and a top ATG.

To be perfectly frank, Manny has little to no chance against Floyd. Saying that does not change that I immensely prefer Pac to Floyd as a person, but it is reality.

Mosley didn't look like Mosley normally does tonight. He wasn't pressuring, he wasn't throwing a lot. My hats off to Mayweather a great performance tonight. Looks like Pacman is next, lets get the deal done and have a great fight this fall.

How old are you? Lame. You are a typical kid that will be happy when given a lollipop. He just says that Floyd will beat Pacquiao, and it already given you an orgasm.

Sorry but pacquiao will beat floyd. :good

mosley didnt look good for a couple reasons

    1. i think too much thinking was being done and i think he was trained to look for this and that and to adjust and to do so many things it made him stiff because he was thinking too much..i honestly believe he should have been told to let go and go get Floyd...Shane was never backed up not even by Margo willingly. He consistantly let Floyd back him up willingly because he was thinking too hard...trying to out box Floyd...not his cup of tea.

    2. Floyd is better and adjusted QUICKER....those two over hand rights were right on the money right over the shoulder Floyd uses...Floyd simply went to a high guard pressured and fired str8 shots not giving Mosley any chance for any more bombs. That confused Shane and he ddint know what to do. He kept getting pummeled in between time and then he lost his will to compete was settling for survinvg and maybe that one big shot again...Floyd broke this man down physicaly and mentaly....that would cause any fighter to look different then they normaly would...A fighters best chance with Floyd is too just FIGHT...be smart but not so much that it makes you think before you pull the trigger or hesitant....thats what Mosley and camp did wrong...they didnt let him be Mosley!

I think Emmanuel Steward said it the best: when you finally find out that your opponent is quicker and faster than you, it affects your mentality and confidence.

Mosley truly believed that he was fast as Floyd but tonight he tasted the bitter reality that Floyd was not only quicker, but smarter.

I believe that 41 opponents truly underestimated Floyd's ring intelligence until the first bell rang, which is when they realized the gameplan they've been working on for weeks is irrelevant because they trained to beat somebody other than Floyd as a result of underestimating his ring IQ.

when it really comes down to it, ONLY SKILL WILL BEAT FLOYD.

Pacquiao does not have the skill to beat Floyd, so I hope Roach brings plan A, plan B, and plan C to make the fight atleast competitive.

The reason Mosley couldn't mount an offence was not just because he was in bad shape. His problems are that he lacks a jab, doesn't like taking the lead unless it's with a big right hand, and doesn't have enough foot-speed to keep up with Mayweather.

I only saw episode 1 of 24/7 and parts of episode 2, of from what I saw there of Mosley's training, I was not impressed, and that should have clued me and anybody else as to how things were going to turn out come fight night. Unless, I missed some great training in the other episodes.

Floyd's best skill is holding. you do not get that good at it without practice.
Simple math - Closed Sparring + Excellent holding + Lack of opponents in their prime = Spaghetti Leg Syndrome. Floyd can't touch Manny and what he brings to the sport and the fans.

I said in the build-up that I didn't see anything that made me think Shane could win. Others felt the same way. We were right.

He had a good round 2, but that aside everything went exactly as you'd think - Floyd simply too quick, simply too sharp and a wide loss.

People banged on about the Margarito performance, and yes Mosley did look good there, but Margarito didn't seem 'on' that night (the cement wraps controversy a big part of that). Before then, Mosley had looked rocky for several periods against Mayorga, flat-footed and open to right hands.

Add to that the simple fact that Mosley hadn't fought for 16 months and was 38 years old, and despite all the attempted talk about what he could do it just simply never seemed at all likely he'd be the winner here.

Give it the Shane of a few years back and it could be fun, though I'd still back PBF.
But I never believed Mosley would win.

That paragraph is what truly makes Floyd great. He adjusts in the ring seemlessly (Except maybe int he first Castillo fight), and does it on his own. It's not like his corner is helping him out any......
