many of you would say floyd fought a boring fight. I say different, This fight was entertaining. he didn't run on this fight, he stayed on the pocket while throwing beautiful counters. This is no castillo fight, or baldomir fight where he ran all night. I've never been so impressed for floyd.

Shane threw jabs and straights from the outside. What floyd did was stay in the right range and nullify the first punch making shane off-balance then counter with quick hooks, then as shane is busy trying to defend those quick counters, floyd launches combinations (this looked like the pac-marquez II, the difference is pac was able to penetrate through marquez for quite a few times)

That said, i'm no longer that confident about pac beating him. I mean look at the styles. Pac loves launching those combinations from the outside, and when he does, floyd will tap the first punch and make him off balance and counter. I used to think the southpaw stance of pac will nullify that lefthook counter from floyd, now I think It won't at all because of the lightning speed of that lefthook. remember pac's favorite combination? (from the outside launches jab to the head, then left to the body then right hook/staright to the head, then teeing off afterwards) I can see a left hook flying from floyd after the jab missed or after the left straight to the body lands.. The only thing I believe would work for pac is his foot speed and feints, but i'm just assuming.

to my fellow *******s, don't be mad at me, I'll always be a *******. Floyd is a *****, but that does not stop me from telling anyone how good floyd is.

Good post my man. I agree that Floyd would give Pacquiao problems and it's a shame that people say Mosley was "shot" instead of giving Floyd credit for beating one of the best WW's out there. It's a huge step up from facing a natural lightweight.

:good the thing with these two fighters is that both can make me change my mind on "who's gonna beat who" everytime they fight. pac's fights against ODLH and Cotto made me believe that Pac has a decent chance to hand floyd his first L. but after seeing what floyd have done against marquez (yeah i know floyd didnt make weight but i'm talking about his timing and punch accuracy) and shane, it made me doubt a little.

Floyd beat a 38 year old who lost to Cotto 2 years ago. Big deal.

maybe, that's for another thread though. My thing is floyd nullified mosley not by physical attributes but with precise speed, accuracy, timing and generalship.

Full credit to Mayweather, he did what he had to do. But Mosley was f*cking awful last night.

Look, styles always make fights and shane was always afraid to let his hands go and his pawing jab is really no weapon at all. Floyd has never been troubled by conventional right handed attacks from non swarmers. Hatton castillo chavez and hernandez showed his problems with swarming and judah mitchell and corley showed the huge problems he has ad******g to an ok left hand with some speed. Even against Mitchell he looked much more ordinary than against Mosley because of the angle. Pac would do much better than sugar. He let's his hands go from a weird angle and hits fast and hard enough to hurt him. Having said that its a toss up fight.

I have my doubts about those angle things, maybe I don't understand it at all. What I know about those angles is, you make one after he missed one. Which (if im right) brings us to a more basic question, will he make floyd miss? I really really REALLY hope roach could come up with a good gameplan

Floyd looking incredible last night is making people forget how incredible Pacquiao looked against Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto. Not that I'm comparing Mayweather to those two guys, but nobody can deny that Pac looked better against those two guys than PBF looked against JMM and Mosley. I refuse to switch sides. I still think Pacquiao would beat Mayweather. I was watching the fight with my boy, and we both saw moments in the fight that would have been different if Pacquiao was in there. It would be a tough fight, but I think would do enough to win.
