"For me, as long as the drug test is not done close to the match, I'll agree because if they'll get blood from me close to the match, it will be a disadvantage for me because I'm smaller and he's big," Pacquiao said.

Horse****. In his last fight against Clottey, Catfish was every bit as big as Mosley and bigger than Mayweather. Back of the shortbus Manny! :patsch

Yeah, one or the other has to back down. I hope they work out some sort of compromise.

They are now so heavily invested in their positions that it will be hard to do a backflip. Compromise is the only way forward. Although people are saying Pac should have taken whatever tests were asked of him for 40 million dollars, it is also easy to say Floyd should have withdrawn his demands, it was also worth 40 million dollars for him to do so. They both threw 40 million dollars away. Which should indicate that they have both dug their heels in.

Given that Pacman has already established several years ago that he believed having blood drawn before a fight weakened him, it is hard to see how he has suddenly come up with this as a tactic to avoid fighting or because he is on drugs.

It seems that few people realise that before he fought Morales he had to have a sudden blood test - otherwise the fight would not have been sanctioned. He fought a very ordinary fight, and afterwards blamed the blood being taken for making him weak. In fact, it was part of a lawsuit he filed against his promoter at the time - who failed to realise that this bloodtest would be needed. Pacman believed it so sincerely that he thought he could win a lawsuit for his promoter allowing it to happen (amongst other things). It might not sounds reasonable to you - but it is clear Manny beleived this long before Floyd become an issue.

Pac tested clean of course. Knowing this, it puts a lot of arguments being thrown around about how he must be a drug cheat and how he is making up stories about being afraid of needles into context. They come from people who are ignorant of history and precedent.
But, given how many of them think that they are psychologists and doctors specialising in performance enhancing drugs - their rampant ignorance is not surprising.

Let's hope the fight gets made. I'm putting my money on Mayweather putting on a boxing exhibition.

It's olympic style drug testing because it is done in the Olympics. Hence, many athletes from different sports of different weights and sizes take these tests and there's never been a complain of it adversely affecting the athlete.

Freddy Roach says 18 days Pacquiao says 24 days. WTF?

Just take the F**King test and make the fight.

Make your millions and prove that not only you are better than Mayweather that you are the best fighter of this generation and one of the greatest of all time.

Floyd did not throw 40 million away Manny did. Floyd is making close to it in the Mosley fight and I can bet you that Manny didn't make as much because Arum takes a percentage of his purse, he paid the sanctioning fees and Clottey can generate what Mosley can.

Manny blamed everything under the sun when he lost including using the wrong socks so maybe he has sock phobia now.

What are you talking about that his promoter didn't know that he had to take a blood test? The story was that somehow his blood test were lost and had to take the blood again.

He looked the way he did in that fight because Morales was a great fighter that had one more great performance in him which he gave in that fight.

It's true that neither of them are exactly poor as a result of the fight not happening. It may even be true that Mayweather lost less overall than Pacman. So which is it - that Pacman was throwing away $40 million and that proves he is a cheat? Or that neither fighter was really losing that much - at which point it proves nothing.

Yes Pac did blame everything. He really wasn't happy about his performance - and he didn't blame himself.

But the question is - has he established that he has the belief? Because that would explain his current position.
The question is not whether you would also have come to the same belief, or whether you think it is reasonable. The question isn't why you thought he lost the fight.

Did Pacman demonstrate years ago a big problem with having his blood drawn before a fight? Yes he did. Did he test clean? Yes he did.
So trying to use his reluctance now - despite clear precedent - to accuse him of anything is illogical.

Yet you would be amazed at how few people can think logically, and the proportion of people with low IQs who think they are intelligent. In cognitive science this is known as the Downing Effect, a form of cognitive bias (which is rampant on this board)

It's not. Even 14 days is stretching it.

Balcquiao trying to weasel his way out of drug testing again. He'll keep fighting in Texas if NSAC makes blood testing mandatory.

There are a lot of stupid posts on this board and a lot of unfounded opinions defended like they are incontrovertible facts. They are coming from you and other people that don't know what they are talking about. No one but you is on here claiming special knowledge from bogus credentials. I can testify to the fact that post count in this Zoo does not make you an expert on performance enhancing drugs, psychology, olympic drug testing, reading comprehension, boxing, or any other topic. If your such a fool you want to twist in the wind every time Manny posts a press release, good, go for it. WTF do I care what you think. Just don't **** on my leg and tell me its raining.

Wow you really are an expert. :good Good job buddy. Complete sentences and everything this time. And passing his past drug tests proves he is clean now. No eyebrows should be raised about his reluctance to prove he is clean? Please post a link, or cite a source, for your proof Pac had an issue with a blood test during any of his previous fights. I have a feeling I'll be waiting for that source a along time.

There was already a compromise at 14 days! If you had to have blood drawn today, do you really think that it would affect you on May 16th!? You *******s will believe anything.

    :good

Exactly. If you're so little, why'd you fight big ass Clottey? Oh that's right, because he has limited skills, and will stand there and get hit.

    So true.

Dude looks scared. He knows he's gonna lose. Keep backpedaling Manny.

I will as soon as Manny drops the glove request, and the $10 million per pound stipulation.

    :deal

He did follow NSAC rules. The rules state that a fighter can ask for extra testing if they choose to.
