Floyd took 2 power shots and was rocked by both, I don't see how you can say that doesn't equal a poor chin. Regular fighters who lack Floyd's superb defence take 100s of power shots in fights, do they get rocked 100s of times?

Given what he's achieved in boxing...he does have a relatively weak chin. He was hurt by a Hatton jab FFS.

It's his defence, use of the ring and offensive work that get him out of trouble.

Floyd's got a chin, and more than that...he's got maturity in the ring. He got hurt (which he rarely ever does), and rather than panic, immediately took control of the situation.

Some guys get hurt and go into survival mode the rest of the fight. Floyd got hurt and put MOSLEY in survival mode.

...i don't undersand what you think generally happens when a top puncher lands a flush punch. Do you have only two rankings for your chins, granite and poor?

You get it flush by a righ hand from a powerful puncher, you get shaken up. This happened to Muhammad Ali (Shavers, Foreman, Frazier), Chris Eubank (Watson, Benn) LaMotta (Robinson), all of them really. I don't understand were you are coming from with this. The only figters that get hit by a hard punch by arguably their division's best puncher and NOT get hurt are cartoon ones.

    You lost me.

Mayweather should consider retiring. He may be a brutal ko waiting to happen. lurking in the shadows :bbbThe younger fighters are maturing.

What are you talking about? Chin? Poor? Even if that were the case, who cares?

The point in boxing is to win the fight. Not to see how many hard punches you can take without falling over.

It's like judging a swimmer by how well he can cook dinner. If he can get to the end quicker than anyone else then what does it matter if he can russle up a dynamite lasagne?

Yes his chin is poor. His defence is unbelievable though, thus why he doesn't get hit flush much.

But when he did get hit flush, he got rocked, both times, period.

The only reason Mosley didn't seal the deal on a very hurt Mayweather was because he was tired in minutes of the first 2 rounds.

He was hanging on till he stopped seeing stars but he wasnt stumbling around the ring like a knockout waiting to happen. He took two big shots flush and recovered within seconds.
Happens all the time, your just knit picking cause everything else about his performance was flawless.
