I know that's Mayweather's best shot. But Pac is a southpaw. And I know a straight right is the best weapon against a lefty but I think Pac is quick enough to get around it, or if his camp has noticed it which they probably have, even smother it. Smothering it will most certainly bother Mayweather cause he needs room to through it. I think Pac has a chance simply because he is a quick southpaw. The angles are different.

This is where your analysis went off tangent. Pac is willing to take some bombs just to be able to give his own bombs. Didn't you notice that he deliberately allowed Cotto and Clottey to hit him just so that they will open up?

What's funny about it is they don't even really believe it. They say it because they hate PBF and love Pac. most of them don't even really want the fight to take place because they know PBF will work him but they won't admit it.:yep

For starters wasn't implying that floyd has that kind of power simply mentioning power as a way to nuetralize workrate. I gave 2 examples, floyd would be the latter, elusivness and countering.

Secondly, clottery is a terrible example of a fighter taking power to land his shots. Clotty doesn't have any power at all.

Pavlik walked through absolute bombs from a true puncher in Miranda to land his own shots and did the same thing against Taylor but against hopkins who didn't give him any openings and kept countering him his output dropped dramtically

If they both take blood testing Floyd would make Manny look like Bobby Pacquiao.

  6. Same reason boxing EXPERTS (not just knowledgeable fans, but experts) picked ODLH to beat down on Pacquiao when they met.

That's why I love boxing! Sometimes you just never know what's around the corner. Even if you "know".

mayweather looked great last night and would be able to outbox pac but if that was pac who had hurt floyd like mosley did in round 2 then he would have KOd him IMO. Not taking anything away from floyd, he was really sharp last night and deserves full credit for dominating Mosley but the pac fight would be very different, pac hits with more speed and imo more power. it would be a great fight and should be made but i have little hope of the fight happening after floyds comments last night

Don't people ever Get tired of underestimating PAC? Floyd didn't show anymore dominance in beating mosley as PAC dis beating cotto. I rate cotto n mosley on the same level at this stage of their career. Close fight, both guys are levels above the rest.

Manny's work rate will be negated by the fact that he'll be countered at every turn. That's what happened to Shane last night. Frustration will set in.

How can a knowledgable boxing fan can think Pac has no chance against Floyd?

Easy UD for Floyd, but don't ever think Pac will not land a single shot at Floyd. Pac will not fight like Shane did last night all waiting for a single shot.

this is true, but then u factor in the reach advantage, and floyds laser jab. u saw marquez constantly rock pac with straight rights in the second fight, and floyd is alot faster. I'm not doubting that floyd wll be hit the most in this fight than in any other, but he will not make mistakes like cotto and hatton i see it floyd by 5 rounds or so or late stoppage.

I'll concede that point. I am mean i've been wrong plenty of times in the past as I'm sure everyone else here has. That being said, you can't base a prediction on "you never know" or some far fetched chance and being wrong doesn't mean that your prefight prediction wasn't the most logical one

I'm seeing this over and over like pac is some kind of monster. He had marquez down 3 times in the first round and rocked him again in the second and didn't finish him. He wobbled clottey and didn't finish him. It took him 12 rounds of hitting with Cotto with every shot available to throw to finish him. If you think that Floyd is going to sit there and allow himself to get hit as much as these guys you have another thing coming

Pac's very unorthodox style, coupled with speed and fight ending power, is the thing that makes a FMJ v Pac fight so interesting. Pac's in his prime, too, unlike all of Mayweather's most recent opponents and won't tire down the stretch. I'd still pick Floyd by wide UD or late stoppage, but I'd actually buy the PPV on this one .
