http://articles.latimes.com/2010/feb/02/sports/la-sp-dwyre-pacquiao2-2010feb02/2 "Shane came to the gym twice to ask me to let him fight Manny," Roach says. "I told him no both times, and both times for the same two reasons: First, there isn't enough money there, and second, you're too good a fighter." Roach and Pacquiao wont have the balls to step up in the same ring with Money May after what he did to Mosley last night.
What he actually said was: Roach - "Shane came to my gym twice to negotiate the fight with me. I said Shane can you make 142 or 143, he says no, I say "Okay there's no fight", he says "You fought Oscar at 147", I says "You're not Oscar." Interviewer - "What did you mean by that?" Roach - "He's better than Oscar, I mean why should I give him the advantage?"
Why did they try and get him down to a weight he couldn't possibly make then, and refuse to fight him at his natural weight? Pacquiao is a fraud. Talking about Cotto left-overs, do I have to mention that two of Pac's premier wins since moving up in De La Hoya & Hatton are both May left-overs?
Why put it in quotation marks when you just made it up? “With Pacquiao, it’s not even going to be a figuring out process. Pacquiao is terrible, man. The man don’t move his damn head, he jumps straight in,” commented the elder Mayweather. “Lil Floyd hasn’t taken any damage in the fight game and Pacquiao knows he is fighting a different animal; ain’t going to take no damage."
I strongly believe that Manny Pacquao would have stopped that version of Shane Mosley. However, Mayweather was impressive last night.
"If they give me a 5-day window or something like that I have no problem with it," Roach said. "When they've drawn blood from Manny in the past he feels weaker for three or four days. It may be mental, but it's there."
No. That doesn't disguise the fact that Oscar fought Mayweather at 154 - Osca's natural weight with Floyd moving up - while Pacquiao fought him at 147, a weight he hadn't made for 8 years. He was so badly-drained he was 145, and only rehydrated to 147 on an IV drip, making Pacquiao the bigger man on fight night. Floyd clearly won the fight 8 rounds to 4 against an at least healthy Oscar even if he wasn't primed. Pacquiao beat a severely weight-drained and even older version who could barely throw a punch. Floyd isn't as explosive as Pacquiao, so wouldn't have taken him out earlier. The fact is he dominated and stopped him. Pacquiao knocked him out after he had been picked to pieces by Mayweather and after he had been nearly KO'd by Juan Lazcano. Dig some up. And you calling me stupid? The irony.
The fact is, Floyd did offer to fight him, he even gave Pac a 50/50 split despite being the bigger draw. They agreed on everything but the testing, of which Floyd offered a 14 day window, and Pac wanted 28. But didn't Roach ask for 5? And didn't he say Pac only feels weak for 3-4 days? Didn't Pacquiao say he has a phobia of needles when he gets tested for all his fights and has several tattoos?
Zoomy you are an idiot and obviously know nothing about boxing. Pac is going to get destroyed. Destroyed. :deal
What do you mean now, is as I just decided he was older? It's fact he was, it's also fact he was drained. Even Roach admitted it. What? I've explained. Can you not read? It was a BS split-decision, it was a clear 8-4 win for Floyd, it took him longer because Hatton was fresher, and Floyd isn't as explosive as I said. And Hatton wasn't bloated, idiot. Now, I'd like to ask you a few questions. #1 - Do you think Oscar was healthy at 147? #2 - What was your scorecard for Oscar v Floyd? #3 - Do you think the Hatton who fought Pac was the same version who fought Floyd?
