My dad just came in and said. "Bloody hell, that Alvarez lad looked good." Anybody else really impressed with this kid?
He looked good, But GB would be pressed to keep him in the "Prospect zone" for another 2 years. Feature him on PPV's & let him build up. If they throw him to the wolves this young he would get devoured.
That's funny, we had this exact conversation about him looking Irish. I had never seen the kid before last night. I expected him to look more Mexican for some reason. First, red headed Mexican I have ever seen. Anyways more on point, the Kid has some nice potential. The punch I noticed most was the nice little uppercut that he likes to throw.
he did a good job. He did a good job with the uppers and hooks, I think it would be natural for him to change into some sort of boxer-puncher from the pure boxer he is now.
He looked good but was shook pretty bad in the early part of the fight, hes still only young so he has huge potential and doesnt need to be rushed to the top, having over 30 fights and still only 19 can only benifit him in the long run though.
He's my favorite young prospect. Roger would be a great trainer for him due to his style and mentality in the ring.
I thought he was very impressive. I couldn't believe he was only 19! He definitely has time to improve. I thought this was the best fight on the undercard.
He looked vulnerable. If a guy like this can put him on ***** street, his chin has to be regarded as questionable.
He was overconfident and got rocked early, he took a veteran too lightly and paid the price. However, he recovered well and took the fight back piece by piece. Doesn't mean his chin is bad.
