Everyone is saying there's no other fights for Floydat Welter besides Manny. 1. What about Berto? I know he's pretty young, but that might be a good thing. I don't see Berto getting much better than he already is, the guy is tough and deserves a shot as much as anyone. Afterall, he signed to fight Mosely, which is something Pac wouldn't do. 2. We might get a chance to see a Bradley/Alexander fight this year. I think the winner of that would make a fine apponent for Floyd. They are both young, hungry, and undefeated. 3. I hate to rush the kid, BUT, I think Alvarez proved last night that he is ready for a Gomez type opponent. He might be ready next year if he can put together some wins over the likes of Gomez, Clottey, Cotto. This kid is special and the truely special ones can do it at a young age.
I could put Pac on that list and say the same thing, but that's why they fight it out. We're just talking potential fights of interest. Floyd is favored against EVERYONE at welter, and probably 154, and likely at 160 even. So should he just retire then?
Being the warrior he is.. Mosley will prob rewatch the tape & convince himself he can still beat Floyd based on the 2nd rd. (Don't be surprised if the rematch talks begin...)
Nah, nobody would be interested in that unless Mosely can make another miraculous run. That's just crazy talk.:bart
Fights I would like to see Mayweather take on; -Manny Pacquiao -Paul Williams -Andre Berto -Winner of Bradley/Alexander
PW @ 154 would be a huge fight, BUT, Floyd OWNS his open ass all night long. It will be impressive and I think Floyd takes this fight cuz he knows. Martinez would be ideal for him at 160 as well. He'll make Floyd look like a stalker.
Floyd whoops all their AZZes easily even if he was a bit older than he is now. Only good fights are pacquiao, martinez, and williams.
