I though NAz waited a little too long to turn up the intensity. By round 6, he should have really got on shane about having to step up the output. There comes a point when your fighter who isn't doing anything needs a kick in the ass. Naz didn't do that until the 10th.

Not that it would have helped.

His strategy was good and advice sound though.

Shane stops Berto. Berto can't stand up to his attack. He has **** defense and a shaky chin.

It will be the same kind of rude awakening for him that Shane had with Floyd, when he realizes that the other man in the ring is in the same league as him in terms of handspeed. Take that away...and look at all Mosley's experience and years of honing his skill, and how green and prone to mistakes Berto still is...bad, bad matchup for Andre. A maestro strategist in Richardson plotting his doom only makes it worse.

I forgot - he's got Steve USS Cunningham under his wing. So that's one potential longer-term project anyway. Troy Ross is up ****'s creek, if you ask me.

BigReg has another thread going I just posted in where he shits on Richardson. Not a damned thing more Richardson could have done. Once Floyd started punching in the third Mosely was muted. Not much to figure out on that one.

Naz should get no credit whatsoever. Seriously. He had a 'game plan'. You can't give no trainer no credit when his fighter gets completely outclassed an dominated. Did Floyd Mayweather get any credit for training Hatton when he got flattened by PAC? Hell no. I was saying before the fight that we need to wait and see what happens before crowning Naz as the hottest trainer. He seems like a nice enough dude, but he must have known earlier on that his guy didn't have it. Even during the instructions by the ref, he started complaining about Floyd's elbows. Then after his man started getting slapped around, he again complained of elbows. Suck it. Shane was getting out hustled due to hard work and dedication.

On the flip side, I give Naz credit for trying to motivate Shane by telling him he was a warrior, by having him repeat his instructions and by saying "he's got to go", but I honestly don't think he believed in Shane.

Like Floyd said, everyone comes into the ring with a game plan. 40 times there have been plans and 40 failed. Now it's forty-one.

Can't wait to see who number forty-two is.

If we're lucky, it's either PAC or Paul Williams.
No one else is really of any consequence at this stage.

    naz is also a gentleman

Naazim Richardson, Mosley’s Trainer: “It was a great ride the outcome wasn’t what we anticipated. I just got back from cursing out Shane. He was mad, saying that he didn’t listen to his trainer and that he didn’t follow his training. I had to tell him no one talks badly about my fighter, not even him. Floyd Mayweather is special. He’s trained by special people. Nothing I saw surprised me. That fireball hit us, when that fireball hit us, our heads got kind of hot in there.”

The one thing Naz was right about was the wakening of the dragon in Floyd... he spit those fireballs that Mosley was unable to dodge...

People overestimate everything sometimes. Every word that come out of Naz's mouth is like some kind of gospel. It's just regular corner talk. All these trainers get overrated because of a few poetic words.

Margo fought like crap that fight, Mosley looked good and it fooled everyone. Everyone forgot about Cotto and Mayorga. And now Nazim was made into a god.

I like Richardson but is he that good of a trainer? Shane was not prepared for that fight. Shane was gased out at the end of the 2nd round! Even at his age, Shane should have had at least six good rounds. Actually, I only give shane the first two minutes of round 2. Floyd started to push Shane back with one minute left of the second round. Watch it again on YouTube. Nazim said Shane was ready, it sure did not look like it.
