I didn't see any signs of him being past his prime last night. He beat the biggest challenger of his career in a dominating fashion.
Mayweather is past his prime. He doesn't move as well as he used to, and doesn't fire off combos like he did before. However, he's smarter, and more comfortable at this weight than ever. Also, his stamina, handspeed, and timing are still excellent. Mayweather now is like Jordan after he came back from his first retirement. That Jordan was past it, but added different wrinkles to his game and was still the best out there.
good point. like duran was at his best at 135 but some of his most savage stoppages came at 154 against cuevas and moore.
Mayweather didn't look better than ever. He looked better in the Corrales fight, in the Gatti fight, in the Judah fight, in the Hatton fight. I think he's barely past his prime. And Mosley is very past his prime.
Hard to say. He's moving up in weight. He's gotta beat these guys in different ways. The only thing I miss is the combos he used to throw.
