Pacquiao: I'll need more speed to beat Mayweather

I don't think he means he "needs" more speed, he's just saying he'll have to use his speed and be faster then Mayweather's other opponents.

Pacquiao's not the most fluent English speaker.

 

I think what he meant to say is that he needs to be quicker then Mayweather

 

I think he meant to say the same thing as you posted. Its just that this "fans" of Mayweather try to twist things around. Its like if you try to be fluent or express yourself on a diffrent language you are not used to speak alot. You will have trouble expressing yourself even though you can speak it.

 

Some of you guys are really sorry. Even when it comes out the mans mouth you need to find away to edit it to make it sound more favorable. The guy can express himself fine and has. Leave it for what it is.

 

Sounds like Manny's conceding to Floyd when it comes to speed.

 

More speed, as in "more speed than anything else". He'll still lose though, that's pretty obvious barring something special.

 

Floyd isn't in the KO business, he's in the sport of boxing and will rather get a UD than go rambo and go for a KO.

BTW Pac hit Clottey and Cotto with clean shots and still couldn't get a KO what's the difference?

I don't think so. When you take Pacquiao's English language skills and think of him saying it... doesn't seem like a quote made with fear. Does show that he intends on fighting though or is contemplating it though.

 

It should be "when I fight Mayweather" at this point.

 

There are known ways to gain speed. Filipino A-side meth lab would be a good place to start.
