that being said, you have to find him first which is the hard (impossible?) part. But last night made me think of all the other times weve seen floyd in trouble. Remeber when chop chop landed that straight left? Remember judah's left hand? How about last night when shane landed that right? All those times he got in trouble he got caught flush, and with one shot. Makes me think his chin is his ***** in his armor (that we rarely get to see cause everyone has problems landing on him). I think there is a chance you may be an idiot but I'm not sure yet. Last night Floyd ate a huge sweeping right, with all of Shanes' weight behind it, didn't go down, and was walking Shane down at the end of the round. I don't know eaxctly why you think he doesn't take punches that well.

Uhm, the fact he has never been knocked out or knocked down in his entire career tells me he can take punches very well. He has been in the ring with some solid punchers i.e. Corrales, Corley, Castillo, Zab, Gatti, DLH and now Shane.
He might not have an iron chin, but no one he fights from here on has the big power shot like Mosley does.
yeah but did corrales land anything upstairs that whole night? no. Corely got one shot in that whole night and had floyd doing chicken dances. Zab had him down (I know it wasnt ruled a knockdown, but go watch that replay and tell me it isnt). Gattie didnt land, DLH didnt land, and Shane got one punch in that had floyd doing the chicken dance. I am a huge floyd fan btw. But all I am saying, is that it seems his chin maybe his weakness. It doenst mean he cant dominate, I am just pointing things out.

He doesnt need to take punches well meaning he is one of the best defensive fighters in boxing history. On the rare occasions that a punch does land, typically, they dont land cleanly. On the very rare occasion when they do land flush, he recovers quickly and dominates the fight like he did against Corley, Zab and now Shane.
hes talking going to middleweight though. there is talk of a martinez/mayweather fight. I think sergio hits harder than shane.
A guy who isn't as well conditioned to take punches won't take shots as well. Floyd has rarely been hit clean in his career, so he's not as well conditioned for it as someone like Mosley or Pacquiao.
Rapid, floyd would have been knocked out a few times if he had n't been such an artful dodger and fought Mosley, Margarito, Williams, Cotto and pacquiao. but floyd has avoided the KO losses through shrewd ducking, fake retiring and bidding himself out of dangerous fights.
I like how Pacquiao has absolutely nothing to do with the thread, yet you still feel the need to bring him in? Anyway in regards to opening post, I honestly think Floyd has a pretty decent chin. That first right hand from Mosley would have rocked any welteweight out there, so I can't really hold it against Floyd for buckling. The second right hand (which was worse) struck him hard on his temple if I remember correctly, and again was only normal to send him rocking once more. But when looking at him getting rocked, you also need to look at his ability to remain cool and recuperate almost immediately. As the round neared to a close, it was almost as if Floyd was never even hurt by those shots. He shrugged them off without a problem, and answered back in great fashion. So with that in consideration, I think Mayweather (along with his defence) has a pretty safe chin.
Floyd never being down officially (apart from a hurt hand) doesn't mean he has a great chin. In his case particularly he just doesn't get hit cleanly very often. I don't think he has a chin problem, I just think he has a good chin. The problem with Floyd is that (obviously) he's extremely hard to hit clean, he doesn't have a weak chin, and on top of all that he has excellent recuperating powers which come from all his experience and excellent conditioning.
