I'm a big Mayweather fan, but I don't believe him when he says he wants to go to 160. 154 would be the cut off for him. He's the biggest draw in boxing, so he has the power to make guys like Williams and Martinez come down to 154 for him.

i agree. imo his chin is his biggest weakness and his defense is his strongest attribute. Cotto took bigger shots, and more of them from Mosley, and absorbed them better. his chin isn't complete crap but it isn't solid enough to take many flush shots from a big hitter. the question is who has the ability to land enough on him consistently to stop him.

Everybody, even defensive masters like Floyd get hit. Sure his legs may sway a bit , but what counts is how you shake it off. Sure enough Floyd can do it and showed it against Mosely.

Agreed - considering he didn't go down, strategically clinched, and recuperated, I'd say if his chin isn't spectacular then his ability to survive hard flush shots is...

he has a decent chin but definitely not great. how does this self-proclaimed pfp all time best survive the likes of duran, hearns, leonard?

He takes them well enough. He took a powerful shot and never went down. He's head cleared quickly and was always aware of what he was doing.

It's not hard to understand. If you've never been punched before, and someone walks up to you and hits you, chances are your going down, because your not used to that.

If you've been boxing a long time and you've been hit fairly frequently, you get used to it. It's called conditioning.

Floyd main advantage is avoiding damage, so when he does actually get hit clean and flush he's more affected by it.

His chin is fine if it was glass he would have been koed by those shots he took from Mosley.

Clearly knocked down by Judah but recovers well - not sure if he was even hurt. Buzzed by Corley and Mosley but manages to recover - I think cause he's a great boxer and knows what to do when he is in a spot of bother.

Anyone who takes big hits like that is going to wobble, particularly when you are getting hit when you yourself are making an offensive move - which I think Floyd was in each of the cases mentioned above.
