Even with all these years fighting at such a high level as a pro, Mosley was extremely tight in the ring from the start. That's nervous energy that he didn't deal with properly and for any sport if you don't settle down, it just kills your gas tank eventually. That's certainly not Mayweather's fault and he simply easily outperformed Mosley from round 3 to the end. Brilliant win for Floyd, actually his most meaningful one as far as I'm concerned.
Maybe shane gassed, but i think the reason for his low punch input was cause he was too worried about floyds counter. in rounds 3 and 4 mayweather was countering most of mosleys shots. and i think that puts a mental strain on a fighter when they want to throw a punch but cant cause they gotta worry about the looping right hand that comes with it.
He did gas early. Floyd had a lot to do with it. Father time had even more. We knew before the fight he was 38 years old and that would be a factor! Floyd nuthuggers are thinking it is a "excuse" after the fight though. Same with the Oscar fight. Oscar faded late. Floyd had something to do with it but Oscar was never known for his stamina and him being almost 35 didn't help either. Mayweather was dominant no question. He makes a case for being p4p #1 again. Though I would still give it to Pacman.
Get a fit person who regularly runs Marathons. Instill them with nervousness and shock. When they finish the Marathon let's see how the time compares to the relaxed version. Of course he ****ing gassed, the guys nerves got the better of him and he wasn't breathing properly.
I take it you people think Shane always breathes with his mouth wide open gasping for air after 2-3 rounds.
x 2 After watching that fight, you can't tell me Mosley's conditioning was not awful. I'll tell you this, any elite fighter that gasses after two rounds, has something not right with them.
He didn't gas because he was unfit, he simply stiffened up and used up all of his energy with pointless movement that Floyd didn't react to.
Maybe you should grow some eyes. Any idiot, even you, could see that Shane was obviously gassed out. All credit to PBF, he whooped that ass, but Shane was dead tired from the 4th rd on. Not even close to being the guy that beat Margarito. Either Shane got old, or he was juicing. Take your pick.
Floyf Floyd is only one year (almost exactly) younger than Oscar was when he fought floyd. Additionally, they both had similar periods of inactivity, with 4 fights in 3 years. So is floyd old as well? Or just on the cusp of being old overnight?
the activity level in the first few rounds weren't that high for shane to have gassed out that soon if he were in the best condition. it wasn't all out action like what hearns-hagler had, not even close. for whatever reason, seems to me shane stepped off the pedal even though he wasn't that much active at the outset.
hey tilang, your in dreamland buddy, have you ever fought in the ring? have you ever gotten to a fitness level where you can spar 12 rounds throwing non stop punches with speed and accuracy, and then on fight day cant hold ur arms up and cant use your legs properly, and feel completely ****ed ,gassed after 2 rounds? i have dude ,it all to do with nerves,if your not in control of ur emotions which all comes down to mental strength, you get nervous, and you tense up and your energy systyms shut down. thats what happend to mosley, his mind made him panic, then he got nervous, then he tensed up,then his lungs and energy systym shut down, then he had his anus handed to him on a silver platter. HE GASSED.:deal
He was not gassed he threw and was on his toes the entire fight his out put was low cause he was so ofset and every miss he was punished Floyd was way outta his league and he learned early
