Suppose Paul Williams puts away Kermit impressively.

Would this bring him up there where he can challenge Floyd, the winner of Yuri-Cotto or Sergio?

Absolutely. He already beat Winky Wright. He already beat Sergio, Margarito, if he beats Kermit he can challenge any of the elite. I mean he can challenge Floyd now but Floyd probably wont focus on him unless he beats Kermit.

I think the rematch with sergio is going to happen after the cintron fight either way.

No. He's not a marquee fighter as a result of beating Cintron. He already is pretty well known by the boxing community. Doesn't mean he can't challenge the best available though.

He won't bring the needed dollars that will entice Floyd in for a fight. He can get Cotto is Arum wanted it. If Shane is desperate for a rough and tumble fight or something to prove he is the king, that is something to look at. Doubtful though.

Only Pacquiao could bring the big bucks, everybody knows that. But if he can't get Pacquiao then I think Williams is the next biggest fight. Cotto wouldn't bring big bucks, he'd make more money fighting Hatton again, or Marquez again, or Margarito, or even Martinez.

Whoever wins should be inline for something big like Mayweather, Winner of Foreman/Cotto or Martinez. They both have contrversal fights with Martinez. I think the winner of Williams/Cintron should face Martinez next.

I expect him to roll through Cintron...yet again not everyone expected Cintron to beat Angulo either.

Should be a good fight while it lasts.

I agree with both statements but Williams, though looking vulnerable at times, did much better with Martinez than Cintron did. I'd be more anxious for a Martinez/Williams II dude.

Beats Margarito, shuts out winky, avenged his only loss with a first round tko, outworks martinez who schooled pavlik,so yea to me,if he beats cintron period, williams has got to be marquee.
