Come on all the fighters try to catch an opponent at the best time for themselves unless they believe absolutely that they are the better fighter. Look at Pacs opponents...all not what they once were. Same goes for Berto, Mayweather and the rest. Khan is just being honest and not bullshitting like most fighters. Keep in mind paulie was a 6-1 underdog in the cotto fight, most observers thought it would be an easy KO for cotto....Paulie wound up winning 4 rounds on 2 cards, 5 rounds on another...took an ass beating from cotto, when miguel was a ****in' animal.... Paulie then cameback after that beating to win a world title.... If that's true then I am truly, truly saddened. I don't think the boxers I love did that. I don't think Duran waited for Ray Leonard to be off peak. (Although Leonard that ******* did it to Hagler). I don't think Hagler waited for Hearns to pass his peak. I don't think Meldrick Taylor did it to JCC, or Pea.
