First and foremost i am a fan of boxing.

I'm far from a '*****' but seriously, some of you guys in here need to get a grip....hating is seriously bad for your health.

Firstly, let me make myself clear, i was absolutely disgusted when Floyd Mayweather made his comeback fight wth Juan Manual Marquez. However, eventualy, i saw it as it was, a tune up fight and a business move made to target Manny Pacquiao. Boxing is a business after all.

However, when the Manny Pacquiao fight fell through, there was a huge demand for him to fight Shane Mosley. Had he avoided this fight, he would have:

    1) Been called a coward and cherry picker.
    2) Criticised for avoiding the 'Real champion' in his divison.

Now he has completely dominated Mosley, he is now recieving criticism for.....yep, you guessed it, being cherry picker. What is the man to do?!! He is the only boxer who is in a no win situation. Is it his fault Mosley was 'the real champ' at his division? Is it his fault he wins in spectacular fashion? Damed if he do and damned if he don't.

Let us remember he has now beat 'the real champ' in the Welterweight division twice now.

As anticipated all sorts of excuses are being made, 'Mosley was shot', 'the drug testing took it out of him, 'Mosley was weight drained', 'a younger Mosley would have finished him'. Please.Get.A.Grip.

What makes this even more laughable is, before they accepted his greatness, one of the things that people wanted to see was Mayweather face adversity. What happens? Mayweather takes 2 huge right hands in the second round and was clearly bothered by them. The same people who wanted to witness him troubled have now called him a glass chin fraud with a low punch resistance! The man can not win!! Clearly he is too good for his own good.

Personally, i feel there is an unhealthy, and hypocritcal obsession with Mayweather. Obviously his persona he has carved out for himself, does him no favours. But the people who have this unhealthy obsession and live for him to lose are in need of serious help or therapy.

Excellent post! Before the fight Shane was too much for PBF and PBF was scared of him after the fight Shane is shot and PBF cherrypicked him, he still hasn't proved anything yet.:patsch It will never end even when he tools Pac.

You know what, im not even what you would call a huge Mayweather fan. And this **** even angers me!!

I love being a neutral boxing fan, because when and if Mayweather Vs Pacquiao is made, i can kick back and watch two great fighters go at it, without acting like some broad.

The majority of posters on here act like broads, and feel the need to stand by 'their man'.

THis is what a girl would do, attempt to label someone. Good job on that :good. Your a exactly the type of 'fan' i despise.

Seriously, get the **** out my thread if you going to act like a girl.

    This is real talk.

That's what it comes down to. It seems you're not allowed to appreciate one without denigrating the other. It's sad and pathetic behaviour that's got worse over time. Let's hope these two do get in the ring soon, and settle this once and for all.

Yes there will still be people who criticise Floyd, but the ones that matter won't. He will have comeback and faced the two best guys out there with perhaps even an eye on the middleweight title.

Of course not, it takes a real man to appreciate someones talent despite not liking him. Very refreshing post.

    Excellent post.

It is pathetic behaviour, but also its 'human nature' to want to be part of a group, have common opinions and norms and values. Some real pussies post on this forum.

In fact, without dropping names, there are only 2 posters i have come across on here who i would describe as true boxing fans.

There are quite a few proper boxing fans on the Brit forum. I only visit the GF for a laugh. And you're right, many pussies on here who are scared to form their own opinion.

I've been a Floyd detractor in the past and I even picked Shane to beat him. But I'm quite happy to eat crow, admit I was wrong, and celebrate a fabulous performance from a modern great.

That doesn't take away what Pac's done though. His thrilling beatdown of Cotto was one of the best things I've seen in a ring. Yes people try and undermine that victory too, but it was something special to behold.

Maybe the fight not happening in March was right in a way. Floyd got to deal with the Mosley situation and Pac fought Clottey at 147. If the fight comes off later in the year, none of this bull**** will matter and us real fans will get to witness a monumental event.

Do you ever talk about boxing or do you just come here to get your feelings hurt when someone criticizes your fav fighter?
